Hi guys,

Yesterday, I've made a mistake of leaving my partner out of my 189 EOI, I wa going to correct it today 10/01 but I've been invited.
If I apply with her I lost 5 point and end up with 90 -

So can I just ignore that invitation and correct the EOI for 90 points ? Would I still be able to be invited for next round ??

Thanks
Pedro

The EOI you got invited for is now useless

New EOI with 90 points you will not get invited next round

I would recon not to withdraw your application as all the point system is for getting an invite thats it. Once you get the invite points hardly matter mate. Just include you partner in you application and move on with this invite.

If that was the case then everyone would do that, Apply as single for 10 points and then include partner in the application.
As soon as they compare the EOI and the 189 application, and see that 2 person are on the 189 application but only 1 on EOI, That is instant refusal of the visa, as on every step of the EOI they ask you if all the information is correct or not, if you do this you essentially lied on your EOI and that makes it void, all your money gone

Also claiming 95 points when you have 90 is illegal

Thank you for the replies.

gandalfandbilbo Yes that's what I thought I can't just apply with 90 points and pretend its all good.

But if I just make a new EOI with 90 points now and ignore this invite will I still be on the list for the next invites and not loose anything?

Thanks

After 60 days your invite will go into the skillselect system again. If you change your points your DOE will change, best you can is after the 60 day period, withdraw that EOI and create a new EOI today and lodge it at 90 points with your wife included. Based on the current trend you will get invite at 90 points within the next 6 months

AGREE on your point, I thought he was just considering about claiming his wife points. if he has completely missed mentioning about his marital status then it would completely wrong.

hi guys, i am sorta having a similar situation.
Can I proceed the invitation and obtain the PR first, then get a partner visa for my fiance a year after?
Thanks
That is possible unless the visa condition says that you cannot marry for a certain period of time if you were granted the visa being single. Check the visa conditions first then decide
