Hello,
I have received the invite to lodge my visa 190 VIC with EOI with 85 points. Unfortunately while I was filling the invitation form I realised that I answered incorrectly at the question on the EOI where it asks about the Australian study requirements. I marked yes when the correct answer is "NO". Doing so my EOI points are currently 80 and not 85 as initially stated. Genuinely I misunderstood the question because I thought It was related to my skills assessment. I have phoned the Home Affairs but they didn't help me at all. I have also already created a new EOI with the correct points score. At this stage should I leave the old application lapsed and wait for the new invitation on the new EOI or carry on with the invitation received? :( Literally I feel desperate. Plus next month I am going to loose 5 points for age so I'm going to have 75. Will 75 be enough to be invited as a perioperative nurse in VIC?
thanks

You cannot go with this application otherwise you will waste money and face rejection. Better to lodge new EOI with correct score and wait for invitation

Thank you for your replay. I created a new EOI straight away, basically on the same day I got the invitation and I noticed the mistake. At this point can they pick your NEW EOI even if you have a pending invitation with another EOI for the same state? Do the EOI work separately even they show the same personal details or you will be picked on the NEW one after your invitation expires (60 days)? Hope this makes sense
Thank you!!

They will wait for 60 days for the invitation to be wasted then your same EOI will be activated again. A new EOI will not be linked but I believe you will also not get any invitation because of the details being same

Thank you very much! Just for a small mistake I have lost my opportunity. I feel awful!
Sorry it's me again.. I have found this online. I know it's dated 2013 but could it help in my case?

@Valencia OMG, I Googled the topic and realised I'm on the same boat as you!

I originally just claimed 85 points of 190 EOI by claiming "Specialist Education Qualification" which I don't have - mine is by coursework, not by research. My correct points would be 75 points which are still valid for 190 though. In theory, there would be no advantage for us if our scores are higher than 65 but you never know what would happen.

I'm going to contact home and affairs and see what they would say.
