I am holder of 489 visa. I got my visa in November 2019. I am going to get married in couple of months therefore i had not mentioned any one in visa application as dependent or my future family member as that time i was single. I just need to know that after getting married can i apply my husband would be eligible for 489 subsequent entrant visa?

Only after entering the Australia, you can apply for subsequent entrant. But the marriage/relationship must not be developed during your application process or after the grant but before entering Australia otherwise you may be eligible for the visa cancellation.

Yes, you can but since your spouse is already in Australia and you guys will be married just before applying, you need to work on your application in detail to show the CO that this marriage is legitimate and not only for the PR purpose. So documentation will be a little extra but eligibility is 100%

Hi I will be illegible to lodge my 887 application in sept2020 but my child hasn’t been granted subsequent entrant 489 yet.
What if I lodge my 887 without including that child? What will be the procedure and fees for that child to get 887 later?
You have to separately apply for 887 for your child as family

can you guys please suggest?
if i apply 887 application without my wife .
will her 489 visa get effect ( ceased/cancel/ remain valid untill her visa expiry date)
I dont think is there any criteria to link these two visa but it is always better to directly confirm with DHA

Hi my fiance and i were supposed to get married last year, but due to covid and travel ban we have not been able to. is it a good idea to apply for his 489 SE application now and just wait? If yes, what documents can we use to prove our relationship? we don't have a marriage certificate.. but we have transferred money occasionally to each other and no utility bills as we have never lived together. We do have our printed marriage invitation card, photos from past and emails, messages logs. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you!

If not married, a subsequent entrant visa requires her to be your de facto partner:

DHA said:
A de facto relationship can be with someone of the same or different sex where you and your partner are not legally married to each other, but:
  • you are committed to a shared life, excluding all others
  • your relationship is genuine and continuing
  • you live together and do not live separately and apart on a permanent basis
  • you are not related by family
Time spent dating or in an online relationship does not count as being in a de facto relationship.

Hi,

my husband got his 489 subsequent visa today,08th April'21, but due to Covid restrictions he can't come to Australia. Unfortunately we are getting divorced now. What are the conditions applies to his visa, he has to stay and work in regional area for 2 years in order to apply for his 887 or the same like me I have to lodge my 887 in September'2021.

Thanks for your assistance.
