Hi Team - Need your inputs on 491 nomination for Victoria. I was going through eligibility requirements for applicants to apply for 491 with Victoria. https://liveinmelbourne.vic.gov.au/migrate/skilled-migration-visas/491

It stats every applicant (including offshore) needs to produce an offer of employment. Can someone confirm if this is true? If it is, I dont know how is this even possible for offshore candidates :( Which employer would be willing to give an offer to a candidate whose processing could take months and is not even sure of getting a grant after the wait.

I was under the impression work is something we need to find once we start living in regional areas after the visa grant.

Any thoughts or assistance is much appreciated.

Thanks

Well, it's pretty clear in their website

VIC said:
Offer of employment
All applicants who wish to apply for Victorian nomination for the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) (subclass 491) visa must provide evidence of a current offer of employment in a position located in a designated regional area of Victoria (as defined by the Department of Home Affairs).

It's tough but not unprecedented.

491 Visa gets priority processing.I am.not sure how fast is that, but less weight time than 190/189. You show this to your potential employer to get a job offer. Employer should be happy as they don't want to do any paper work or spend money on Visa.
