Thank you MysticRiver. Could you please share your thoughts on travel insurance? Is it mandatory ?

Nope.

You are parmanently moving, so I don't think a travel insurance should be on the card. Also in Aus, general medicare is free. If you want to be protected for major health issues as well, you can take some health insurance once you reach here.

Timeline missing
I'll be using airbnb accomodation for the first month until I lease a regular rent.

To have a better chance to be approved- I was advised to pay a couple months in advance when you have no secured job nor rental/work local experience during the first months.
 
Consider before posting:
