ACS ACS with RPL -> Vetassess?

Hi Friends,

I am looking for an advice from people who have already received their 189 visa and had their ACS assessment done through RPL route.
I am a Mechanical engineer working in software industry. My ACS application with RPL is approved and 6 years are deducted,as expected. I had sent them all my B.E. related documents and employment related documents. In my result letter from ACS, they haven't mentiond about my B.E, neither they have asked me for further assessment.
While going through some forums here, i get mixed opinions, so i am specially looking for advise from people who have actually gone through the process.
Questions:
1. With only ACS assessment, will i be able to receive 15 points fro my B.E. education? My doubt is that it was a non-ICT degree.
2. Do i need to get it verified from Vetassess?
My friends and intuition says that Vetassess assessment may not be required. But, did anyone face any issue with such a scenario?

To claim points against qualification, there is no requirement that the qualification needs to be relevant, all that matters is it has to meet Australian standard. Some people take the risk, claim points, and let DHA decide whether it meets the standard. Others take a safer route and go for VETASSESS point advice.

Better apply for Vetassess PTA as I remember in EOI it was written in education section that the education should be assessed by assessing authority or vetassess

I am also at the same page...need to submit my RPL next month....I have Master Degree and having a job experience of 14years in IT....I have heard it that now a days they r rejecting the RPL please suggest me about the documentation to submit with RPL and how to get a positive acceptance of RPL through ACS...Your response ll be valuable and help me out...Thanks in advance

Nothing is required to be submitted as RPL requirement. Only RPL is fine plus other experience related documents which are mentioned in acs guidelines

brother in one of the recent cases he just sent the RPL and the required documents....they have rejected his RPL because he havent submitted his payslips and bank statement.....I thought when dey demand these both document den we have to submit but in this scenerio dey havent demanded and rejected his case.....should i submit RPL only or all the related documents with it/.....Any recently RPL acceptance member can share his experience and my field is Computer Network and System Engineer......what was the best time to submit RPL and apply ????

Supporting documents are required with statutory declarations so if someone fails to provide them they will give negative assessment. For rpl, separately there is no additional doc required
