Hi everyone, I lodged my visa application on 18th March 2019 and I recently got married on 18th August 2019. Now I want to add my spouse in my existing 189 application. I performed the following steps:
1. Through immi account, I filled notification of change of circumstances.
2. I paid the fee through my payments.
3. I filled form 1436 with the receipt number.
4. I emailed skilled support with filled form 1436, wife's passport, payment receipt and marriage certificate.
5. I upload form 1436, wife's passport, payment receipt and marriage certificate to 'Other Documents' in my immi application.

It's been 3 days and my spouse has not been added in my application hence I am unable to upload her documents and cannot generate HAP ID.
My questions are:
- Did I perform the correct steps?
- I didn't include my wife at all in my application when I submitted as I submitted my application on 18th March 2019 and i got married on 18th August. SOmeone was saying that she should be included in non-migrating family members. But at that time, she was just a friend of mine and not a family member.
- WHat should I do next

I am extremely tense. Please help

You did the right things. Now just relax and wait for the CO. He will be adding your spouse in your application as per his own convenience as well as will generate HAP ID himself

Thanks Mohsin, Could you please shed bit of light on this "I didn't include my wife at all in my application when I submitted as I submitted my application on 18th March 2019 and i got married on 18th August. I know her from the last 4 years. We were friends but we got married on 18th August 2019. Should I let immigration know about all this?
Thanks

No need, just upload the maximum documents possible for you to proof your relationship and you are good to go. Sometimes CO objects when you marry during the visa processing. They think that this marriage is only to get PR so you should be prepared with a bunch of documents to clear the doubts if raised by CO

Alright so I will let the CO know that we were friends from last 4 years and both families agreed us to get married because I had a stable job.
Moreover, I am in Australia and my spouse is in Pakistan. So i followed the right steps?

Mohsin, I paid 2,020 AUD for adding my wife in my application.
Please keep into account that I applied for 189 visa on 18th Mar 2019 and I got married on 18th Aug 2019. So I am including my wife after applying 189. So, 2,020 AUD is the correct amount?

I am not sure about the fee, if it was coming automatically then it should be fine.

I think that is fine - I didn't include my partner as a non-migrating member of my family unit when I applied for my 190 visa either, but they were successfully added via Form 1436 and granted the visa along with me.

You can try emailing [email protected] / [email protected] - to request that your wife is added and HAP ID generated - it may speed up the process.

Do remember to have all your relationships evidence ready - we had about 40 documents across the usual partner visa dimensions (financial, social, household, nature of r/s) that we uploaded.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have paid 2,020 AUD is this the right fee? Did you pay the same. Can you send me a list of documents/evidences that you provided?

For anyone else reading - usually Immiaccount will auto-calculate the amount based on the info you input - otherwise the prices do sit on the DHA website, at the moment here: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/fees-and-charges/current-visa-pricing/work

What we paid was less, because it was in the previous financial year - each year it goes up by a bit.

This is more or less all the documents we submitted, about 48 documents (many of them listed below were merged PDFs), specifically the relationship evidence was:

-Statutory declaration from each of us (about 7 pages each) describing the development of our relationship, financial commitments, nature of our household, social aspects of our relationship, and our commitment to each other - we referenced multiple times evidence we would be attaching.

-Our relationship registration certificate (as we were de facto less than 12 months).

-Joint lease agreement.

-Rental bonds office receipt and email addressed to both of us.

-Joint account statements (regular savings, utilities, insurance deducted).

-Joint utilities account (electricity, gas, internet).

We don't use our joint account for day-to-day spending, so we attached a cover sheet (Excel) detailing purchases (e.g. groceries, social activities etc.) and corresponding personal bank statements to show the purchases / transfer of monies in some cases, original receipts (e.g. for white goods / furniture / household items etc.)

-Joint insurance (home contents, car).

-Joint ownership of vehicles.

-Each of our driving licenses listing our home address.

-Each of us listed as "spouse" and emergency contact at work.

-Each of us listed as the others binding death beneficiary for our Superannuation (provident fund / retirement fund).

-Joint Flybuys account (Supermarket rewards scheme).

-Joint emails to both of us (e.g. from our rental agency).

-About 15 photos - each with a blurb: we pasted the picture in a Word Doc, then added an explanation of who took the photo, where it is, who is in it, the significance to us - then converted that word doc into a PDF. Combined all the photos together. The photos were a range of just us as a couple, with our respective families, and friends.

-Whats App summary page for each of us (showing number of messages sent / photos / videos).

-Itemised phone statements for each of us (showing daily contact with each other before we were living together).

-All the electronic tickets of social activities we could get our hands on e.g. movie bookings, dinner reservations, theatre plays / recitals.

-Each month we upload our joint bank account statement and any purchases we have made together, e.g. summer holiday bookings, new tires for our car etc.

Hope that helps.

Hi Alinaa, can I ask you when you made the payment what 'Processing Office' did you chose. I can see on <https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-text/online-account/Pages/oa-h0105.aspx> this page that it is written 'Choose the departmental office or Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) location where you will be submitting the application' for Pre-pay Additional Application Paper Application. But I could not find any such office on my immiaccout.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Everybody, I lodged my 189 application on 18 march 2019. I got married in August 2019 and added my wife in my application on 21 August. My wife got added in my application in 10 days and did her medicals as well. On 7 Jan 2020, i got request to submit further evidence of relationship and stat declaration from both partners. I submitted everything they asked on 21 Jan 2020. Please tell me when should I expect grant? Do they take longer when they ask for further proof of relationship?

About your step 2., What Reference number did you use to make payment. Did you use the one for the initial payment for the main applicant?

Hope you are having a Good day,

I have already lodged 189 visa application however due to some circumstances I haven't added spouse and children in the visa application.
Note : EOI already mentions family i.e spouse and kids. As per the 189 visa conditions in the immi website , I can add family members even after making the visa application.

In the above procedure mentioned, how did you make the payment , i mean when i go to the payment then i get an option to select "Pre pay additional applicant paper application" is this what we need to select. and make the payment.
