Asking for a friend:
After lodging for 489 FS, I got married and then added my spouse. After sometime got CO response to submit the fee and spouse supporting documents like passport, marriage certificate etc. Then Before getting any decision, My first child was born and I also added him in my application. Got another CO contact to add child documents but this time, they added a response for spouse saying they she is not eligible for this visa and they made mistake previously by asking for fee and documents. Only option is to apply for subsequent entrant once you get the visa. Child can get the visa now but not spouse.
Questions is: is there any way to respond them to request for spouse visa at this stage by providing two facts: 1, the child is few months old and cannot live. 2, they have already added once and might give some benefit of doubt by adding the spouse again.
