Info After initial visit to Aus, how long can I remain outside Australia?

Hi Guys,

My PR is from May 2019 - April 2024 and I made my initial entry in Sep 2019. Since my initial visit I have not been to Australia till now. Its been more than an year. Can I get back to Australia anytime I want?

Technically you can come to Australia anytime you want . But the practical situation in this pandemic will make it difficult and costly as you have to quarantine and pay for it yourself . Also check the situation of tickets and availability. With the recent spikes and UK strain of covid , the govt has reduced flights and made stricter rules for entry.
After April 2024 you will need a RRV to come here after proving connection to
Australia and explaining reason for absence

Welcome ! But as the covid situation was no unexpected, Australian authorities would understand the delay . In fact they themselves are making it difficult for even citizens to come back in this situation. 2024 is long away and I am sure there’s much time to get through this situation and for the economy to bounce back . Stay positive and stay safe and healthy ! That’s more important now !
