Hi ,
Good morning!

I recently applied for 489 visa. My CO has not contacted yet since my lodge of application.

Last week I received an invitation for 190.

I am wondering if I successfully get nomination, will i be able to apply for the 190 visa.

What will be the situation of my bridging visa?

Will Immi refund my money for 489 visa?

Can I request to transfer my application from 489 to 190?

Please advise me.

Thanks

It's upto you whether you want to go ahead with 190 or wait for 489. In any case dha won't refund you. You need to spend another 4K or more depending on numbers of applicants. The choice is yours

No it won't get cancelled but in case if you get 489 grant first and 190 later then 190 will supercede 489 and vice versa

It will be valid as you have paid for both. But once you receive 190 immediately withdraw 489 as I have seen a case where a person applied for both these visas was granted 190 and 489 in just ten minutes difference, so you have to be careful and also when did you submit your 489 and if you still have 60 days time period to lodge 190 then I would suggest that wait for a while as they are going to process it quickly due to its closure. But again it's your personal choice. 190 is better than 489.

You can, but several (if not all) states do not send multiple invitations to the same person at the same time.

Is there any minimum validity required on passport to apply for an Australian visa?

I have less than 2 months validity on my passport.
Yes it has to be valid for six months at least

But i got nomination on this current passport and i am applying onshore. I also applied for a new passport in last February. Due to coronavirus it is not printed.

I have proof of the passport application.

Please advise me how can I manage to lodge my visa, since invitation is valid for only 60 days.

Thanks

Attach the proof of passport application. And I think that co would know that in this pandemic situation everything is upside down. But for more clarification do consult any mara agent. There are lots of them who offer free advise.
