Certified copy?

Hello guys,

While searching for the Visa 189 document checklist, I came across many documents where it was mentioned that one should upload the Certified Copy of the original.

However, I was told that scan copy of the original would be required, and therefore, I have scanned the original.

Can someone please guide me what does Certified Copy of the original actually means, and how do I get that? Do I need to get a color print of the original, and get it attested, and then scan it again?

Looking forward for some assistance.

I haven't received my ITA yet. Expecting it in the coming round, and therefore preparing the documents. That's why I asked this question so I can prepare the document properly. Please enlighten me if you have knowledge about it.

The requirement for certified copies are there since ages, but usually, people used to upload scanned original and be done with that. However, recently, I have started hearing about cases where CO asks to certify certain documents.
