Dear All,

I was assessed as Industrial Engineer in EA assessment.

I applied for CDR+Relevant Skilled Employment Assessment.

For CDR , assessor gave me positive result as Industrial Engineer.

For Relevant Skilled Employment Assessment. Assessor emailed me that He did not include the assessment in outcome letter due to lack of documentary evidences.

Hence, He gave me a letter for positive CDR result.

Now, what to do? Can I proceed further as skilled employment assessment is optional.

Suggestions are welcomed

You can, but I'd suggest you to clarify with EA to know what is the problem with your supporting documents for employment. The reason is, if there is any major issue, your CO might also question the valodity in visa processing stage (assuming you are planning to claim points for employment).

Dear Mystic,

Thanks for your valuable input and suggestion.

I have already contacted EA for particular reason about subject matter.

Moreover, without employment points claim, I am having 55 points in total as i have 7 bands in each module of ielts.

Now my question is, If I include 5 points of State Sponsorship to get 60 without employment points claim then how much minimum experience I require to show for skilled immigration? Do I need to attach extra documentation for that?

Please guide....Thanks

If you don't claim any point for experience, you don't need to worry about experience.

I believe you can. However you need to check if there is any specific criteria in the state you plan to apply. Moreover, check the point requirements for state sponsorship as sime states (e.g. SA) ask for more points.

Hi. I have bachelors degree in chemical engineering and master of science degree in gas processing and transmission. However, I was assessed as an Industrial Engineer ANZSCO 233511. I just want to know will it make any trouble for me if my tertiary educations are different from the assessment outcome? for example, when I fill out EOI, I should mention my higher educations along with nominated occupation.

Well, as relevant skilled employment assessment is not mandatory, you can continue with your EOI and application if you think you have enough evidence for your employment.

The evidence normally includes experience letter from your employer, payslip, bank statements etc.

Thanks Sir for your Kind Support,

Yeah I have all evidences including letters and salary slips.

1. Will Immigration Case Officer be interested in why EA assessor did not include the relevant skill assessment or he will perform the assessment as independent PERSON?

2. I have 60 points including 3 yrs of experience upon which my CDRs were based. I have all evidences for this but suppose If I do not claim this experience instead I take state sponsorship will there be any issue?

3. which Visa is better 189 or 190 . I heard 189 takes more time than 190.

Thanks :)

1. I don't think he'll ask. But i am curious to know why EA didn't assessed your relevant skill. If there were some doc missing, they normallt ask. It is very unusual they just send you the assessment without employment assessment, when you paid that extra fee for relevant skill assessmemt (you did pay extra, right?). If I were you,I'd have taken it with them.

2. You can, there will not be any issue. Ofcourse you are loosing 5 points means there might be delay in getting invitation.

3. The official deadline is now same (3 months) for both 189 and 190 (it used to be 18 months for 189 before). In old time, 190 did take less time, but I am not sure if that is true now. If you can get invitation, ofcourse 189 is better. But in some occupation, 60 points requires a long time to get invitation.

Thanks for the reply,

Yeah I am also curious to know but the assessor is really silly (sorry for the word). He is just asking me to refer to MSA Booklet. If there were any shortcomings he must ask for more documents. My employment is genuine and I have all evidences.

More stupid thing is that He gave me Industrial Engineer Profession based upon my 3 yrs Experience out of which I had 3 career episodes but he did not recognize it as skilled employment.

He is asking to appeal or re apply some expert also told me to reapply for 330 dollars but I am really concerned about non professional behavior of EA. I am not going to pay them again those stupid assessors :)

hmm .. I am very surprised that he didn't clarify what exactly he thought was missing! I am not sure if appeal requires any fees, if not, I'd encourage you to do so.

Believe me this is irresponsible behaviour of EA.

Anyhow if u ask me i dnt feel comfortable to move to skillselect without clarification. Appeal charges are 500 $ while reapply is 330$ i m thinking to apply again.

Hmm .. This is the first time I heard such incident. Normally EA is very detail about their decision.

For reconfirmation, you paid extra amount for relevant skill assessmemt, right (normal skill assessment takes ~$600 while skill assessment with additional relevant skill employment assessment fee is ~$900)?

Well, there is no black and white decision. Generally it is not mandatory to have employment assessment from EA, so you can ignore that. But if you want to have minimum risk, you can go for appeal/reassessment. One thing I am little bit worried is, because you don't know the reason, unless your assessor made a blunder, there is a possibility that you'll get similar outcome.

So, I'd recommend to ping them again saying you did all the steps as advised, and have no idea why your employment assessment was not done. You can also emphasize in the email that you have submitted all the documents (may be list down the documents as well). If I were you, I'd have first tried my best to go to the bottom of the issue. I don't want to be blind sighted.

Consider before posting:
  • Do not post the same thing in multiple places.
  • No personal contact and/or non-English phrase is allowed.
  • Always post in a relevant thread or open a new one.
  • Better to use the reactions in a post to congratulate/thank.
