I had lodged EOI with state 190 visa for NSW in October 2016.

Now, if I decide to apply for South Australia please clarify on the following:

1. Would I need to deselect NSW and choose SA? Is this exclusive application which is accepted by states?

2. Would there be a change in my EOI visa date of effect, this is crucial because I have been waiting since October

You can do that, but that will change the date of effect of your EOI, means your EOI will go back in the que, hence you have another option, you can submit a separate EOI for SA or any other states you want to apply. Actually you can submit as many EOI's as you want.

Answered above.

Is it legitmate to submit two eoi's from the same person? Is there an official link where this is mentioned. Does it impact first EOI?

There's no legal issues on submitting as many EOI's as you can since its a computer which is checking the EOI's automatically and sending invites. Not a human being. People usually submit more than two / three EOI's at a time, each for different states.

Most likely no, as per some other members (who tried themselves), the date of effect only changed if you change your point or subclass.

I submitted my EOI on 4 March 2018 for 190 NSW with 70 points for computer networking what are the chances
nothing can be said related to 190, since it depends upon the states and no fixed schedules are earlier results are announced.

I have filed my eoi at 70 points. In a month, ill gain 5 more points for work experience. this will put my application back in the queue. Further, if I change my work details which do not affect my points, will it push my application back in the queue again?
The position in queue changes only if the edits bring changes to the points.

Hello,
I would like to know one thing regarding filing eoi for 190 visa.
I have an assessment under (software engineer) which falls under 189 category. I have filed an EOI for 189(at 70 points) and 190(at 75 points). However, my partner has an assessment under (DBA) which falls under 190 category.
In order to get 5 partner points, i am planning to get an assessment done under (software tester) which falls under 190 category so that i can get partner points while filing an eoi under 190( with software tester) which will make my points 80.

I am in a dilemma whether to go ahead with it or not as I feel my current points are less to be selected for state nomination. Kindly suggest.

How? Your DOE will be reset surely, but you will advance in the queue because points always take precedence over DOE in ranking.

@MysticRiver, I have a query regarding experience as well.

For my skill, VIC needs min experience as 5 years, which i will complete in september 18. I did file the EOI for 190 in june right after i got my technical assessment report. do i need to change anything in my EOI or will it be computed automatically?

TIA

I think it's totally your decision, so don't know what kind of suggestion you are after.
