@MysticRiver, I have a query regarding experience as well.

For my skill, VIC needs min experience as 5 years, which i will complete in september 18. I did file the EOI for 190 in june right after i got my technical assessment report. do i need to change anything in my EOI or will it be computed automatically?

TIA
I believe if you kept your end date blank, it'll compute automatically.

@MysticRiver :

I have filed an eoi in july 2018 with 70 points for 2613 job code. Starting Nov 1st, I am eligible for 5 extra points(work experience which makes my points 75). Seeing the trend in previous 2 invitation rounds, The cut-off stands at 75 points and the date of effect is usually around 20th ( for ex: in sept cycle, the date of effect is 20th august).

I would like to know if it would be advisable that I make the changes in my EOI to reflect additional 5 points before Oct 20th and change the date on nov 1st again(which won't affect the eoi date), so that I am eligible for November 11th invitation round or wait until Nov1st to make changes in my eoi.

By doing the former, I hope i am not putting myself in trouble by changing the experience date to an earlier date(a matter of 15 days) and by doing latter, I feel I may lose out on November month's invitation round.

Kindly suggest the right way to handle this!

How are you planning to do so? Are you going to change your start date 15 days earlier, or push your end date 15 days later? The former would be a false statement, and the latter would not be possible (because I don't think you can put a future date).

Yes , i was thinking if i could change the date from 1st nov to oct 18th so that i am eligible for the nov 11th cycle. This will change my date of eoi to 18th oct and my points would be 75. Later, on nov 1st, i can change the experience date back to nov 1st and my points would still remain 75 and there would be no change in the date of eoi. What do you suggest?

I'm no expert but if you have 75 points, you can easily get an invitation within the next couple of rounds. Is it worth taking any kind of risk just to get an invitation a month earlier? Specially when you've spent sometime already waiting with the EOI?

Also, I haven't tried it, but I believe if you change the dates, even though the total point remains same, the DOE will change.

But wouldn't that be lying?
Providing false or inaccurate information deliberately in order to get the benefit of an earlier decision. Seems like a foolish idea to me.....

I am confused and unable to find complete information regarding EOI
date of effect if I change the skill of my old EOI, please do check the case
of mine and kindly suggest me a proper solution:

I applied for ComputerNetworking skill on AUG 2017 and applied for ICT security on DEC 2017
(as I had done my assessment in DEC)
If I replace the Aug 2017 EOI skill with ICT security, does the EOI date of
submission stays AUG or Today's date.
Is it legal?

@MysticRiver Please guide me,

I have recently got the invitation 11th of Nov, however, the renew assessement came out 3 days after the invitation, so based on what I understood is that if I don't accept this invitation for 60 days it will lapse allow me to update the EOI, but the main point is that if I update my date of skill assessment will my effective date change from May 2018 to the day I update that?

or should I just not update the date of assessment ? and get reinvited on Jan 2019 for the second chance and let the info to be different from EOI and that should be totally fine for it to be get granted?

If a reassessment is mandatory for your case, you have to update any expired assessment. Without further details, I don't know what your assessment authority is, or whether a reassessment is absolutely necessary for your case.

Hello, I wanted to ask one question. My skill assessment for accounting and audittors is expiring this March 3rd and 10th I guess. I have also just renewed my skill assessment in General accounting and auditors today. My eoi was updated on 5th September 2018. Once my skill assessment is successful and when I update my EOI again, will this affect my 5th September 2018 updated date? Will my queue line be affected. I am really worried. Many thanks.

I am not so sure about that.
I have not tried but I asked ISCAH and they said that it is possible to change occupation without changing the DOE as this won't change the points.

Hmm, interesting. It's not fair though, if true. Some would then submit an EOI with a fake assessment ID to "reserve" place in the queue, and then update the real assessment record when done.

Timeline missing
Dear Experts,
My EOI has DOE of April 2019 and I will be at 8 years of experience on Aug 2019 and hence eligible for additional points.
Q1. Will my points be calculated automatically in the EOI or do I need to update my EOI after I complete 8 years?

Q2. If I change my job prior to Aug 2019, will that affect my current DOE?
Q3. If I change my job prior to Aug 2019, do I still get additional points when I reach my 8 years of experience without having to do another skills assessment? (My current skills assessment covers my current job)

Thanks.

if you left the field of "to date" blank for your job experience then automatically, otherwise you need to do it manually
If I change my job prior to Aug 2019, will that affect my current DOE?
No
do I still get additional points when I reach my 8 years of experience without having to do another skills assessment? (My current skills assessment covers my current job)
No. It will stop at the end date of your current job

Hi @MysticRiver , what is the difference between 'EOI initially submitted on' and 'EOI Last Submitted on'?

And what influence does it have when it comes to deciding EOI priority?

Only date which is considerable is EOI date of effect on which the system decides the queue. Rest all other dates are only for information purpose
