Hi,

I have a query related to adding work experience in EOI. Following is my employment breakdown:

Company A (15 months) (overseas)

Start: 09/2014
End: 11/2015

Company B (Australia)
Start: 12/2016
Currently working here

My assessment body is VETASSESS, so they deduct 1-year experience. So in my skills assessment, they have stated that the following is claimable for points:

Company A (3 months) from 09/2015 to 11/2015
Company B (All experience)

While adding my EOI, I only added work experience according to VETASSESS points test advice i.e. I didn’t include the 12 months of my 1st job which were deducted by VETASSESS. Now, I am confused whether I should have added that or not. After researching this forum, I have seen people recommending to add the deducted experience as non-relevant (Mostly ACS cases).

Should I do the same and update my EOI or it ok if I leave it as is? Adding the deducted experience will not increase my points as it was overseas. Will adding this change my EOI date even though my points are not increasing?

Thanks

Eoi date will not be changed if points remain intact. You can mention your non-claimable experience as “irrelevant” in your eoi

That's the correct way of submitting an EOI. But, it's not also a deal breaker if you exclude that part. You can leave it as it is if you want. But in the visa application, you must mention all.

Will adding this change my EOI date even though my points are not increasing?
Most likely not.

@MysticRiver I have added the experience as non-relevant but this has created another dilemma for me. My EOI date of effect is still the same but EOI last submitted obviously has changed. I have applied for QLD 190 and the QLD nomination program is issuing pre-invites based on dates.

Do you think/have any information whether they are going by date of effect or date of the last submission?

Thanks

I got invited for 190 NSW state nomination and have applied for a 190 visa 4 months back. I have claimed work experience and have supporting documents (pay slips, bank statements, reference letter from the employer, contract, work-related correspondence, Notice of Assessments from the ATO, Income Tax Returns, Group Certificates) however, I do not have superannuation statement. It is because my employer has never paid my super. I need a genuine suggestion whether these documents are enough for the case officer to prove the work experience or does he still need superannuation statement. Some people say that I need and some says I don't. I am just confused. Can anyone suggest me with this please. Thank you in advance :)

I guess you need to wait and see how your CO thinks.

Not paying super is a crime.

Hi Experts,

I am thinking of applying for 190 State Nomination as a ICT Support Engineer. My dilemma here is that I am confused whether I need to include my work experience in Australia (and supporting documents) to be assessed by the ACS? in the same application I am doing to get a skill assessment for ICT Support Engineer?. I hope this makes sense.

Basically, I have been told I don't need to do that because I can just apply for my skill assessment using my PY Certifications and my Qualifications (both in Australia) and get it, but then how does the Department of Home and Affairs grants you that +5 extra points for work experience? Should I just declared in my EOI application? or where do need to add my work experience support documents such as employment reference letter, payslips, superannuation, etc?

I am so confused, I would really appreciate some advise or help on how to proceed.

Thank you in advance.

It's better to get your experience assessed as well.

You need to do the assessment first. Please refer to the following:

I am an ICT professional and am claiming points for skilled employment. I was told that I need a skills assessment that states my 'skilled date'. What is this?
NSW requires all ICT professionals claiming points for skilled employment to provide an Australian Computer Society (ACS) skills assessment that clearly identifies your 'Skill Level Requirement Met Date'. Under ACS’s framework, your skilled date is the date after which you can claim skilled employment.
If you have continued in relevant skilled employment after your skills assessment was issued by ACS and after the 'Skill Level Requirement Met Date' and want to claim skilled employment points for this period of time, you need to provide supplementary evidence. This could include a contract of employment, pay slips or other documents.
