Hi all, this group is titled "Step by step guide" but there are already 45+ pages of information, mostly nested threads, making it difficult to follow.

I have not applied for a visa, and am seeking guidance.

Considering this, I am thinking of registering a blog - free of course - to which we can perhaps link this group to, and where we can place a blog post with actual steps as an EXAMPLE of how an EOI may be submitted. This blog can be reviewed every few months to keep it current and would be very beneficial for newbies like me.

I need help from experienced people willing to write the blog though, as I do not know about it myself. If interested, please let me know, I will help in any way I can, like Webdesign, blog space, etc.

lets get #efficient

Well, that's something unavoidable in public forum, can't really control the flow precisely. However, the steps of the Step by step guide are all in the first post of this thread, later follows the comments and discussion on the topic. If you compare with a blog and a forum, the first post of a forum can act the blog and subsequent replies are similar to comments on a blog post. So, not sure what extra you would like to achieve with a blog.

Also, to be honest, there are numerous similar blogs/forums around.

Anyway, please keep any discussion about any 3rd part service (free/paid) outside the forum post.

@MysticRiver
I got my PR in March 2019 and travelling to Oz in last week of July 2019.
Unfortunately, today morning was bit by a stray dog and need to do my rabies shots. While the first 3 shots (Day 0, Day 7, Day 14) will be done in India. The last shot of the course on 28th day will be in Oz. Now, i have a few queries:
1. I am taking the doctors prescription that will be provided in India which will have the vaccination dates mentioned. Do i need to take any additional document other than this?
2. Do i need to upload this as "vaccination" schedule once i land in Oz?
3. Would this be covered under Medicare? Or do i need to seek consultation or what would be the procedure?
P.S: I couldnt find a relevant thread to post this queries, so posted it here. Apologies.
Thanks & Regards,
Ravi

Hi guys,
Another quick question re EOI Submission for 189:
> If I am not claiming pts for my current employment (eg. currently employed as IT helpdesk but claiming 189 for Software Developer), do I need to provide any details of my current/ past (unrelated) employment in my EOI or during any stage of 189 processes?

I think that would be fine, but better to give a call to any hospital in Australia.

Would this be covered under Medicare? Or do i need to seek consultation or what would be the procedure?
Medicine is not covered by medicare, but consultancy of a GP will be free.

Do i need to upload this as "vaccination" schedule once i land in Oz?
Upload where?

Well, theoretically you should not, but sometimes some CO asks for that. In those cases, a self statutory declaration usually proves to be enough.

By the way, when you submit an EOI to multiple states, do the states prioritize the application of who applied to only one state?
Ex.
Applicant A- Submitted 190 to NSW,ACT
Applicant B- Submitted 190 EOI only to NSW

QLD prioritize EOIs that are submitted exclusively for QLD over the EOIs submitted with states = ANY.

VIC asks the applicants to withdraw all other state application before proceeding with nomination.

For VIC, when do they ask to withdraw other state applications? After invite? Or before submitting EOI?

So is it better to submit different 190 EOIs per state?

After they select your case for a possible nomination and want to ask for your supporting documents. That's before the invitation.

Yes, but for VIC, they will ask you to withdraw all other EOIs concerning state nomination.

Sir you mean they will ask you to drop nominations after the preinvite?

What I meant is, let say you have 2 EOIs for VIC and NSW. Once VIC preliminary selects your EOI for nomination (at this point, the nomination is not guaranteed though), they will ask you to withdraw the other EOI you submitted for NSW before they proceed with your documentation check.

Note that, even if you withdraw NSW EOI, it's not guaranteed that VIC will finally approve your nomination. But of course, you will have a much better chance when they preliminary select your EOI.

Oh okay I get it now thanks for the thorough explanation! I’m a developer programmer so do I have to withdraw my 190 NSW EOI? Since I’m affected with the changes?

What changes?
The change wherein :

The additional requirement for these occupations is to be living in NSW, and to have been employed in NSW for at least one year, in the nominated occupation.

I do not qualify anymore after the recent change. Do i need to withdraw my eoi?

Most likely VIC will still ask you to withdraw, but nobody knows because the changes are just recent.

Also, why would you care about keeping an ineligible EOI, if VIC asks you to withdraw?

No I just thought that since my EOI for NSW is ineligible, I should withdraw it? Any advice?

It's your decision. You can keep it until VIC asks you to withdraw, if you want. But I don't think there will be any reversion of that new NSW rule in the near future. Keeping in mind the EOI has a validity of 2 years, good chance that it might not be eligible in its lifetime.
