As a mechanical engineer with 5 years of experience in MEGA projects ..
  • what are the things i need to do find a job in Australia, knowing that i have an Australian PR but my experience in outside Australia ?
  • Which state is most recommended for Engineering jobs (Especially construction projects) ?
  • Are there any special courses or exams i must take to increase my chances ?

I hope to hear the answer from Mechanical Engineers who've been in the same situation ?

Exactly, they are in the best position to comment .. hopefully we have some members in this field.

Here are my 2 cents from general (non-ME) point of view
what are the things i need to do find a job in Australia, knowing that i have an Australian PR but my experience in outside Australia ?
In Australia, local experience and education always gets priority. However, the demand in your field plays a vital role here (again, any local ME can help on this better).

Which state is most recommended for Engineering jobs (Especially construction projects) ?
As I have non-ME background, I am not going to make a direct comment. But, one site, which is arguably most popular for job search in Australia, is www.seek.com.au. May be you can get an idea from the circulars in that site.

Are there any special courses or exams i must take to increase my chances ?
Again, not specific to ME, but I have seen many people taking TAFE (also heard high praise for).

I second with the below mentioned quote by @MysticRiver.

Yet, seek is a great website indeed.

Hi
Firstly congrats
I am also mechanical engineer with similar sort of experience as yours
We can discuss among the ME Members and collaborate and share knowledge.

I did some search came to know that searching job away from AUS is difficult and more of the jobs in Aus are network based(as I Heard). But we can search and share the knowledge

P.S Where are u at present in AUS or in your home country

@kris.4any
I have a better idea for you. Like we discussed yesterday, open a new thread with proper title, filter out all the members (who's updated their timeline) of your skill from the timeline page and tag them using the @ sign at that thread. In that way, you can form a group.

I have some better idea of grouping, but that will take some time to implement.

Consider before posting:
  • Do not post the same thing in multiple places.
  • No personal contact and/or non-English phrase is allowed.
  • Always post in a relevant thread or open a new one.
  • Better to use the reactions in a post to congratulate/thank.
