DIBP releases the minimum point and visa date of effect statistics separately for the invitation against high demand occupations. While minimum point statistics maintain stable trend, the erratic behavior of the visa date of effect often creates lots of confusion. Unfortunately, we can't help anything regarding that, but in this post we try to list down the invitation statistics for all the high demand occupations in chronological order. Hopefully, it'll help us finding a pattern for them

In below charts, the numbers inside the callouts denote the index of the invitation round during the year 2016-2017. The values in X-axis and Y-Axis are self-explanatory.

Hello, I have a question regarding the Visa date of effect. I initially submitted the EOI on 13th Jan 2017 and beacuse there was confusion in the employment points, I updated the EOI in first week of Feb i.e. 7th FEb 2017 to reflect the right points (60 under skill - Software Engineer).

I have checked the latest results and the Visa Date of effect for Software Analysts and Programmers is given as 4th Jan 2017.

Can you please tell for the further rounds my date will be considered as the initial submitted i.e. 13th Jan 2017 or the one when I updated the EOI i.e. 7th Feb 2017 ?.

If your point tally changed, DIBP will consider 7th Feb.

Also, note that, point gets priority over visa date of effect. Hence, EOIs with 65+ points will always get priority over yours.

Hi,
New to the forum.. So hello to all!!
My question is for the ICT 261111 Business Analyst.. I have submitted my EOI just recently with 60 pts for 189 and 65 pts (i.e. 60+5 SS) for 190 NSW. I have a positive ACS assessment and IELTS score of 7.5.
My question is that :
1) How long will it take for 189 invitation. Looking at the 2016 trend, I see that my skill is under pro rata basis with 65 points as cut off.
2) How long will it take for 190 invitation. Also, does the state considers 65 points in total for 190 or do they consider 60 as 5 points are for state sponsorship.
Thanks!

190 = State Sponsorship.

Applying for state sponsorship means you will get an extra 5 points from the state IF INVITED by that specific state irrespective of how much points you have without those 5 extra points. Hence If you have 60 points, and you are applying for lets say NSW, you will get 5 extra points which means in total your EOI will have 65 points for a state sponsorship.

Hi Mystic..I have submitted 189 EOI for software engineer 2613, with 65 points on 3rd march 2017. What are the chances of getting invitation on 12th April considering there are only 464 places left for the cieling to be reached. Shall i go for nsw 190 instead.

Thank you . Do the states like NSW continue sending 190 invites even after the occupation ceiling is reached?
The occupation ceiling you see in the website is for subclass 189, not 190. There is not (published) ceiling for 190.

Thanks! I don't see any 60 pointers getting an invite. Have you come across anyone in the last 6-12 months who got an invite with 60 points. I am sorry, just being a little anxious.

I don't think there is, also if there was any, we couldn't know since DIBP doesnt release data as per Invitee's.

Hi guys! I have a doubt regarding the beginning of the 2017-2018 period. As I have applied (EOI) under the 2335 ocuppation, and I'm sitting at 60 points (189 subclass), is there any chance to get an invitation the first round in July?
Checking previous rounds, from July 2016 until November 2016, there was no indication of 60+ points requeriment for that occupation. Does it mean, in that period of time all who got 60 or 60+ got an invitation?
It is impossible for me to get an invitation now because the ceiling is close to its top.
Thanks for the clarification!
