Hi,

Appreciate if you can help me to know how many points I am eligible to get. I am applying for 189 Visa.

  1. I am 32 years old,
  2. 11 years of experience (2 years part time IT helpdesk engineer, 4 years Network Engineer, 5 years Network Security Engineer)
  3. BSc Telecommunication Engineering
  4. No IELTS yet, will apply soon

I do have the followings IT Certifications (all of them are valid "not expired"):

  • Cisco RnS: CCIE / CCNP / CCNA
  • Cisco Design: CCDP / CCDA
  • Microsoft: MCSA / MCSE 2016

my questions, will these IT Certifications help me to gain points?
and if yes, how many?

Usually, for ICT occupations, ACS deduct 2-6 years of previous relevant experience to provide the positive assessment. If you don't have an ICT qualification and have Vendor certifications, then they will deduct 4 years from your past experience. In your case, I don't think the certification will help much as your qualification seems like ICT relevant

the consultancy service in 1st meeting informed me I have to apply for both EA and ACS skill assessment.
If you want to apply in a skilled occupation that falls under ACS, I have no idea why on this earth your consultancy service advised for an additional EA assessment.

If you want to apply for 2 different occupations in 2 different, only then you need two different assessment from EA and ACS. However, in that case, you'll lose all your ICT experience.

I meant if you get your assessment from EA, it means you are not using an ICT occupation to apply and hence you won't be able to claim any of your ICT experience.
