How to fill names in EOI

Dears,

Hope everyone is doing good. It's my first question here so please accept my apology if it has been asked before (I already tried the search option but couldn't find anything!).

The question is, my passport has my full name stated under one field only, how should I fill given/family name fields in the EOI form. My full name is written as (AAA BBB CCC DDD) where AAA is my name, BBB is my father name, CCC is my grandfather name and DDD is my family name.

I'm confused, should I put my name in the given name field and the remaining in the family name filed?

Btw, when I submitted my ACS application, I only used my name & family name. So, on ACS report it reads: AAA DDD.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks

Why did you not match your passport name in ACS application? The correct way to put your name anywhere is
First Name: AAA
Middle Name: BBB CCC
Last Name: DDD

If any application does not have Middle Name section (like skillselect), you should follow
Given Names: AAA BBB CCC
Last Name: DDD

So, while I don't think there will be a lot of issue with the mismatch of your name between your ACS report and passport (because you can easily explain, if asked), you just create an unnecessary issue which might raise a flag in DIBP. Again, it won't matter at the end, but you might have to explain this to your CO.

Thank you so much man. That was a negligence on my part. I was in a hurry and didn't give it a thought, I just put up my name the same way I use it for any online form. The thing is, I thought ACS will copy the name found on my passport, which unfortunately did not happen (btw, the same thing happened with IELTS, I registered online and only used my first and last names but they changed that to match the full name on my passport). Anyway, do you suggest going back to ACS asking to change my name on the report and get a new one? is it even possible to ask for such thing?

I would recommend that. If ACS can reissue the letter, it will save you any unnecessary complexity in future.

Yes, I have replied to the same email they sent and it took 3 days to get the new report.
The reference number in the letter is the same as the previous one right ... that does not change ?

@MysticRiver

I had the similar issue and got the letter reissued from ACS with the name matching my passport.

I had given my preferred address as office address but however they had kept my home address in the ACS letter. Is this a problem ?

I had mailed both the request together but they had changed only my name in the reissued letter. I think they missed the second part. Just checking on the same as i will be moving out soon from my current address given.
