How to represent post skill-met experience in EOI, when all experience is relevant

Hello,

I have recently received my skills assessment, and I am confused about how to represent the employment part in my EoI.

My work experience starts Aug/2005. My Skills Met date is Feb 2008 (as mentioned in the ACS letter). All of my experience from aug/2005 to aug/2015 is relevant to the selected occupation and also listed under the 'Relevant work experience' section in the ACS letter.

Now can you pls. guide me how should this be entered in the EoI? The confusion is that if I mark all experience as relevant (also represented as such in the ACS letter) than the EoI awards me points for 10 years when in fact it should only award me for 7 years (as the 'skills met' date is Feb/2008, and points should only be awarded for experience after the met date. correct?). Can you pls. help to clarify this.

Many Thanks.
Neoq

As a common standard, I would recommend you to put your experience from Aug/2005 till Feb/2008 as non-relevant.

For a detail discussion regarding this issue, please read through this thread::
http://www.migrationdesk.com/threads/skilled-experience-urgent-help-needed.41401/

It is relatively more logical, also you will be on the safer side, because claiming less point in EOI is not an issue, but claiming extra point is a major offense (I assume you already have enough points without those 3 years). 2 more recommended threads for you:

Thanks,

Awesome! Thanks.

Also, I found the confirmation from Skill Select official website for the officially correct method to handle such a case:

http://skillselect.govspace.gov.au/...art-of-the-period-is-not-eligible-for-points/

Done with this I have another query:
I saw you mentioned in one of your posts that you can leave the PCC for later when it is demanded by the CO. But on the Visa application Document Checklist I saw that PCC is indeed listed as required document to be uploaded when you apply for the PR visa (http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/190-/Skilled-Nominated-visa-(subclass-190)-document-checklist). Whereas medical is not listed.

Please review this new info and update us with new suggestions in light of this new info. Thanks a heap for your help!!!

Thanks for sharing the links ..

Regarding the 2nd link, they do listed PC to be submitted with application. But I am still in favor of delaying PC as far as possible, at least till the case officer asks for it. Reason is, firstly, there is no harm in doing so. Secondly, I know people who waited more than 2 years for their application to be processed, and they had to provide PC and HC twice.

May be they changed the rule in recent times, good that you pointed out.

Another one.... Can I change my visa type from 190 to 189 after submitting the EOI (and before receiving any invite)?
Can I even edit that part of my EOI after submission?
Thanks.

You can update your EOI anytime until you get the invitation. However with any change, your EOI submission date (aka visa status date) will be updated as well.

Hi Mystic, Just a quick Q.
Can I submit multiple EOIs one for NSW, one for VIC and another for 189 (all active in parallel)?
Is it legal to do such?
Ill lose 5 points for age on 1 dec so I dont have much time on me.
Please advise. Thanks.

You can, there is no limit in number for submitting EOIs. However, you can't accept invitation from multiple EOIs.

Also, you should consider submitting one EOI for subclass 190 rather than submitting for each state separately, because as far I remember, you can do that.

I see. I just tried and I was able to submit a separate EOI for a second state. So I have 2 active 190 EOIs. hope thats ok.
I also want to submit a 189 EOI.
Let me know if you have any comments.
Thanks.

Like I said, you can submit as many as you want.

I just pointed out that you may save some energy by submitting one common EOI for all states in case of subclass 190. However if you create separate EOI for each state, no issue as well.

For subclass 189, you have to submit separately.
