I am going to apply under ICT Security Specialist but I am not sure on many things, this is my first post here, so please spare me if I am a pain. Point me in the direction please:

Overall experience: 10+ years of dedicated information security experience
Certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001, SANS GPEN, CEH
Education: Overall 16 years of education with 2 years computer science degree completed back in 2003.
My Spouse has overall 8 years of experience with 4.5 years as Microsoft System Administration, and for the last 3 and half years "ICT Security Specialist" with CISSP.
My IELTS overall score is 8, but I got a 7 in writing (L8.5/R8/S8/W7), should I give it another try for an 8 in all? My Spouse scored 7 in all.
Age: 36.

Q1. Do we stand a chance for immigration to Australia?
Q2. Which visa type should I target?
Q3. Can I claim additional points for my Spouse Language and skilled occupation?

Request for guidance!
Thanks,

To start with I recommend reading these posts:
How to apply for immigration to Australia
ACS assessment suitability criteria - Year deduction from experience

And, reading about the available visas on the official Department of Home Affairs (Australia) website Visa Finder

Do some basic personal investigation both on the official site and searching on the forum for information and advice, and see what suits your situation

Great - there is a lot of information available so once you get your head round the basics you will have more questions - we all do! :)

The lovely forum members will always try and help - just remember we are not experts. To make it easier for us if you update your Timeline (link in my signature) with at least your ANZSCO code to start with, that would be appreciated

Consider before posting:
  • Do not post the same thing in multiple places.
  • No personal contact and/or non-English phrase is allowed.
  • Always post in a relevant thread or open a new one.
  • Better to use the reactions in a post to congratulate/thank.
