@MysticRiver @Rakshanda
Re IED, if the main applicant is already onshore upon visa grant what will be the basis of the IED of the dependents? Thanks

That's an interesting question, which I haven't though before :), neither have I found any reference.

But logic suggests that the IED will be decided upon the grant date. So, for dependents, it should work in a similar fashion (e.g. they have to enter within certain time).

I've read that the IED was based on the PCC or Health Assessment release dates + 1 year forward. Is that true?

My health assessment will expire on March 2017 and will be lodging visa 2nd week of January. Do you think the CO will ask me to do another HC?

It's not always true. I personally know a person who had his grant 19 months after he submitted PC/HC, and he was given 10 days time to make initial entry.

I know another person who was asked for a second HC after 20-24 months (I am not exactly sure) passed from his first HC.

@MysticRiver can you confirm,

Is it mandatory ONLY for the main applicant to make an entry on IED. Or the dependent too? I believe its for both since they have the same grant letter and same IED? Right?
