Invitation received but incorrect experience date is mentioned in EOI. However, claimed points are correct i.e. I am eligible to get 10 points and I claimed the same

But in the eoi I should have mentioned the start date as Aug 2012 instead of Aug 2010.
Even though I am good to claim my 10 points.

Will this lead to false information while applying for visa. I have realized just now while applying for visa where in it is asking for the start date and I think I have to mention as Aug 2012 but I have claimed in EOI as Aug 2010.

Rest all requirements are fine and I have rece

If you are not getting any extra points based on the incorrect dates then its ok. You can explain this to your CO. But you must mention the correct dates now in you immigration application as well as on form 80 and 1221 and explain in addition information section

If I were you, I would go ahead as mistakes can happen and you are not hiding anything. Furthermore, I am quoting @MysticRiver below:

Once you accept, you are bound to prove all your points: So if you have claimed extra points in your EOI, by mistake or whatever, it's still not too late to correct this - just ignore the invitation (the invitation will expire in 60 days). Yes your process will be delayed and you need to wait for another invitation, but that is better than forfeiting visa fees (minimum $3600 for a person, as of today) and possibility of subsequent ban for multiple years.

But since you are not claiming any extra points, I believe you can go ahead with proper justification. You can also get suggestion from forum moderators as I am suggesting you on behalf of my personal experience

Thank you for your reply.
I would like to go with another EOI as I have good points (80). Can I start my new EOI and submit to skill select even I have an invitation.?

In that case, if you are too much confident then wait for some time, let the current invitation get expired, then apply again, as your record would be showing as "Invited" so you never know the implications of a new EOI

Okay, it's not about confidence, now the invitations have very good chances for 80 points.

What implications? I mean can't we apply for another EOI if we have a invitation and I did not even click on apply visa option.

Also in December my points will be decreased by 5 more then I will land in the pool of 75 which again is a very big concern.

So want to be in the right pool as soon as I can

Thanks for your assistance

Well, I can't really advise with certainty. Good chance that it won't be any issue provided that if you changed the start date to August 2012, your point still remains same (without changing any other thing, e.g. end date), but if CO charges you can't really challenge his decision because he would be within his legal right.

I guess, it depends on how much confident you are of getting a new invitation. I don't know you points, but if you think you might grab another invitation in next round, it might worth a shot.

Hi SJR,
Timeline means do you want us to apply after the expiration of the EOI? I guess we will be in trouble if 80 points users are more at that time and also we will lose 5 points in December, so do not want to take risk.
Any issues if we apply a new EOI, when we have an invitation?
Please suggest

Hi,

Can you please clarify few things related work experience? I'm updating the new EOI.
I have been working with the same company from past 8 years and moved into 3 roles.
Analyst trainee - 2010-2013
Consultant- 2014-2017
Senior consultant-2017-present

And my eoi considered the work from Aug 2012.

So how I have to update in the eoi?
My work start dates and designations should be in separate rows?

Appreciate your response on this.

Also,in my skill assessment it was till consultant and recently I have been promoted to senior level.

Skill assessment just has consultant and the total experience is correct.

Make one (or more) entry until Aug 2012 and declare them not-relevant.
For the rests, make as many entries as you need and declare them relevant.

Do you need the new experience for extra point?

No, I don't need any extra points.
You can just exclude that part in EOI, if you think that'll cause confusions (but in Visa application, you have to include all).
Or, just enter the last part as a new entry.
