Hi @MysticRiver, so finally after a long wait of almost 70days I got my visa grant letter the other day. I am extremely grateful to you for all your advice. I did all the visa documentation on my own and thus was always apprehensive but all is good now at the end.Your blog has been of immense help, thank you again. I guess i need one last clarification, so my grant letter doesn't state anything on my arrival date to NSW. I am living in Western Australia, do you think I immediately need to relocate there or is it fine if i take my time and go there in a couple of months?
do continue this amazing work you doing.
Best wishes
Anu :)

You are welcome, it's always a pleasure to be any help.
Regarding you relocation to NSW, I don't think you need to rush as long as they didn't advise anything specific (you are on 190, not on 489, right?).

I am on 190 visa. the visa grant letter says nothing as such. However, I rang NSW office and they said you should relocate asap. Well i am confused because i have to wrap up my work here first. I am thinking may be I will go for a day and do any required paper work and come back.

I doubt you will get anything more specific. You should try to relocate as soon as possible, like they said, but nobody is gonna sue you for any delay.

I have seen some states gives 90 days for on-shore applicants. Not sure about offshore applicants. You should check with your state.

Should not be a major issue as RDA Orana does not fix a hard rule of 90 days (it says approximately 3 months)
RDA Orana said:
RDA Orana expects all its Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) nominees to relocate to the region as soon as practical after being granted the Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) (within approximately 3 months).
