Lost National ID

Mystic river, hello , my husband was filling forms 80 and 1221, and he came across the question of national IDs, well he had an ID and we still have a copy of the ID however the actual ID is lost. So we r thinking what should we do? We do not have a proof it was lost and we do not have it.

We can not get a new ID now, it is a very long process and we are in the 28 days period. We did present his birth certificate. In the forms they said have you ever had any identity document, so we thought to mention the id and number, but I was afraid be asks about the original document and we only have a copy.

It depends on your CO. Normally they don't ask for original hard copy, a scanned one is enough. But anyway I don't see any reason why anyone don't retrieve the lost NID.

I will answer honestly, we have an ID and number, they said now and before.
