My wife is a MSc. in Biotechnology, her occupation is currently on the MLTSSL, do she have to apply for Skill Assessment so that i can claim 5 points. She do not have work experience and her skill assessment body require both qualification and experience assessment. But she however has competent English, less than 45 years and her occupation is listed in MLTSSL and so is mine. can i claim 5 points or should i be able to claim only if she gets a positive outcome from the skill assessment. I could not completely understand the Partner Skill Qualification criteria, Please guide me.

To claim 5 points you are required to have positive assessment from the assessing body and if they require work experience so it cannot be bypassed
