Dears,
I am 34 years old. graduated from faculty of pharmaceutical science in 2003, shifted my career to IT in 2004 and have total 11 years experience in IT filed. I have some certificates in IT like :

· Project Management Professional (PMP)
· Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD)
· Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP)

I am planning to use job code as software engineer or business analyst.

my question is do I still need to go through RPL process or the HR letter will be enough ?

thanks.

You need RPL if your qualification is non ICT. Now definitely your graduation is non ICT. However, I can see you have several vendor certification, which, if accepted, will exempt from the requirement of an RPL.

Btw, please note that if an ICT vendor certification will cause a deduction of 5/6 years experience and a non ICT degree will cost you 6 years experience to meet suitability criteria. Check the link below for details

you mean I have 2 options:
  1. lose 5 yrs with vendor certificate
  2. lose 6 yrs with non-ICT plus RPL
if I use option #1 , for example:

I started working in IT on 2004 and I get my certificates on 2008

he will count the 5 years starting from 2004 or 2008?

5 years will be counted from 2004. For information, no experience before finishing qualification can be claimed for points. In your case, it doesn't matter though.

For your case, I don't see a reason to go for option 2.

It seems like so from the limited things you posted. there are few things

1) Your vendor certification has to be assessed as ICT major
2) All your experience (from Jan 2004) has to be considered as relevant
