Will do! I have a quick question as this is my first time applying and I am not in a rush.

I applied for 190 to NSW in March 2022 as a Special Education Teacher Specialist and received an s56 for Police Clearance/Check on 11/20/2022 in addition to the FBI National Criminal Clearance that I have originally submitted.

I was able to order the Certified Hawaii State Police Check via Online Portal and submitted to my IMMI Account accordingly. I noticed the Application Status has changed from Initial Assessment to Further Assessment in less than an hour.

My question is whether:
  1. Police Check/Clearance is the only thing left that the CO is needed for a visa approval decision as this was the only condition in my s56, or
  2. This is only just the beginning, once the CO receives the submission of the Police Clearance only then h/she will look/review further at the entire application and that additional s56 may be issued accordingly?

Finally the day has come for which me and my near ones have been waiting for. The long wait finally comes to an end.

Got my grant today and I cannot express how amazing I feel. I thank this forum from the core of my heart and wish all other fellow members get their grants soon. Hope this news comes out as a ray of hope for all those who have been waiting this long.

Honestly, I am not so sure either, don't know if experts here know more about that.

But I think it's safe to guess that a case officer will not ask for s56 twice, meaning that should be the only piece of information missing in your application. If the officer asks for more, it should be in the same direction (meaning they are still not convinced by the new information received).

I believe you will soon receive the good news since they are working hard on finalizing a lot of visas these days. It could be an immediate grant the next time your file is opened or just a small wait until the BG check comes back positive.

@freakytrends hi, not yet. I haven't received the HAP ID of my newborn so not able to take the health checkup yet. I already wrote twice to DIBP but no response yet.

Do we need to update anything manually in IMMI account after completing Medicals? I had a CO contact for my baby's Medicals on Dec 1st. Completed it on December 3rd. Reflected as "Health clearance provided – no action required". But Flag still appears on IMMI account. I don't remember seeing flag after I completed my/my wife's medical. Later I pressed Information Provided button then the flag disappeared.

@BarakJ After initial submission... I lodged my visa in 2019 with my 1st kid... My 2nd kid was born in 2020..

Hi @BarakJ I think we are traveling in the same boat... I faced the same issue... As soon as the birth of my 2nd kid in March 2020, I raised a change of circumstances-COC. But no reply for almost a year... I called migration helpdesk and enquired why it is delayed. They asked me to sumbit COC again. Then they added my 2nd kid but without HAP ID... In September 2022 we 3 were asked to redo medicals but not the new born who was 2 and half then. 3 weeks back they generated HAP ID for the new born and we did it December 1st week. I would suggest you to call immigration Help Desk
