NSW state sponsorship with 60 points

Hi there,
I have few queries concerning my EOI. I submitted my eoi for 190 NSW two weeks before, 13th of may'16 under the profession Social Work.
I have 30 points for age, 15 for positive assessment and another 10 for IELTS, accumulating it to 55 and 5 extra for SS, so a total of 60. Reading all the above posts i believe mine is not very impressive score to get invitation soon. I wanted your feedback on the same. How do the state accesses the case, do they see the highest points candidate, or they go through occupation as priority followed by points and other things.
I have filed my case on my own and had no guidance as such, that explains my long text here. Will appreciated any input.
Thank you.

Hi Anu,

All invitations (subclass 189/190) are decided based on points, starting from highest. However, each individual occupation are given with certain number of invitations, e.g. if occupation A has hundreds of high point holders, it is not going to be the cases that in an invitation round, all of the invitations will be sent to occupation A.

So, the whole process is little bit complex, with lots of variables, hence making it very difficult to comment. Specially with subclass 190, the data released by DIBP/state is very limited.

In general, 60 points for NSW invitation is little tough in most of the occupations. I have seen several rejections or people in waiting list for months in NSW, with 60 points. But again, if your skill occupation has some shortage in the application, you have good chance of getting the invitation.

All depends on how many people are in your occupation list and how many NSW require.

Hi there,
Thank you for your message. I received my NSW invitation today, took almost 4 weeks, but again better late than never. I will appreciate if you could clarify few of my doubts.
1. Do I need to get my PCC and medical now, or i have to wait for the DIBP invitation. I tried following the page on NSW website, they only demand the documents which i stated in my EOI for points.
2. They are ok with color scan copies or black and white attested, does choosing any of it will make any difference?
Thank You again for your insight.

1) I'd say wait for their formal invitation, submit the visa application (upon paying visa fees), then you can proceed if you want. You are not bound to provide/process those until your CO is assigned and asked for documents.
2) Nope, I'd say a color scan is easy and enough.

Hello,

I've put in my EOI 190 NSW with 70 points on 24th May. My occupation is ICT Support Engineer. Any chances if I will get invited in July.

Impossible to forecast with certainty ... but 70 points should have a very good chance.

I can wait for months...but has there been any case/cases with my occupation getting invited ? I am worried coz its part of CSOL :(

Hi Baig,

Like I tell everybody, it's not possible to forecast with certainty as it depends on many factors.

NSW with 60 points sounds little challenging for your ooccupation, but you never know. If possible, try to improve your point, while you wait.

Yes, it is very normal case. Some occupation gets invitation with 60 points very easily while some other competitive occupations might have limited invitation even for 65.

hi again, i am trying to fill form 80 and 1221. can you please clarify if i need to upload any docs related to my job. i have two years of overseas work experience, however i cant claim points for that so i didn't submit any work related doc to NSW while submitting EOI.
also is it relevant to upload any training certificates which i have undertaken( in form 80 they ask to mention all such details, as such i am wondering if i need to back up with proof)
i really appreciate all your input. doing the visa paper work on my own is time consuming and really overwhelming. thank you for every suggestions you have given..much appreciated.

I don't think you need to upload any supporting document for things that you didn't claim point for. It should be safe to ignore those, if they want, they'll ask.

Hi just another clarification, so in my immi account after all docs submission it says , "this application has been received by the department and will be assessed".
will i be notified about case worker allocation, if so will it be on my immi account or via mail?
thank you.
