Hi MysticRiver and other experts,

I had decided to add my partner to my application before the decision was made. Now, I am being asked to pay the application cost before they can add the applicant. Below is the excerpt from the email response I received.

"The status in the request letter is showing as non-migrating for XXXXX, however, this will be updated on the visa application to migrating as soon as the payment has been received and processed.

You are requested to provide a Form 1436 with all necessary information to provide the additional applicant charge. Form 1436 can be found at htt://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/Forms/Documents/1436.pdf. Once XXXXX is added to the visa application a formal request will be sent to you for any documents required in relation to the application for XXXXX. The request will include the following for Health and Character clearances , Form 80, Form 1281 – Values statement and how to provide evidence of Functional English details."

Where do I pay the application fee? 1436 says that I can pay from My Payments under immiaccount, but I can't see a provision for the same. It has "Manage Payments" and "Pay an Invoice." I can't upload the 1436 unless I pay the fee as it is expecting a Payment Receipt Number in Part E->21.

Please help me.

Thanks,
Preetham

I think it should be under the "Pay an Invoice" menu.

But Pay an Invoice asks for an Invoice number. I don't have any.

Oh. Then let's wait for someone who's able to answer to that question.

As the system frequently changes, it's tough to comment on something that one doesn't have access to. It can be top-up payment under manage payment (though it is under pay or paper application category), but you should confirm it with DIBP. Or ask them to generate an invoice for you.

hello everyone,

i think to make a payment, simply login to immiaccount, under the tab "my payments", there's "manage payments".
select pre-pay paper service, then you can pick which payment you're making.

As for me, 'm currently adding my partner in my visa 187, just filled out form 1022 and form 1436, but had no clue where to upload form 1436.
Can someone point me the right direction?
and does the system let you know you've successfully added your partner anyhow? will i be able to know?

I think the second option below is easiest in the lot

Where do I send the completed form?
Send this completed form to the address:
  • in the original visa application form; or
  • in the acknowledgement letter or email that was sent to you after the original visa application was lodged; or
  • of the relevant Australian Processing Centre for your visa, see
    www.homeaffairs.gov.au/about/contact/offices-locations
We will contact you if more information is needed.

Hmmm, in that case, upload the documents under "Other" category, and give DHA a call to confirm.

Consider before posting:
  • Do not post the same thing in multiple places.
  • No personal contact and/or non-English phrase is allowed.
  • Always post in a relevant thread or open a new one.
  • Better to use the reactions in a post to congratulate/thank.
