Yes, all PR holders.

Edit: above statement seems to make some confusion. To clarify, I meant all PR holders must make port entry before deadline, together or separately doesn't matter.

Hi MysticRiver,
I would like to ask some questions concerning making port entry to Australia after visa grant.
1. Are there some sanctions or would one not be allowed to make port entry to Australia alone (eg the man) even if he has good reasons for making port entry alone?
2. Example of some reasons for one partner making port entry alone could be (a) his wife was in her last months of pregnancy and cannot travel with him.
(b) one of the partners is sick and needed to undergo medical treatment in his/her home country after making flight bookings.
(c) that wife is nursing a baby less than 1 year old and people advise that babies do not travel at that tender age.
(d) the man could afford to relocate his entire family at one time and he needs to be in Australia first to work and secure a good place before bringing his family to join him about 3 months of making port entry which at that time the family initial entry is still valid.
(e) that the man received his visa grant earlier than the his wife because his could not undergo the chest x Ray because she was pregnant and the lead to the woman's visa been delayed?

MysticRiver, I have raised all these scenarios get a clear understanding why one can't make port entry alone even though some circumstances like those listed above and others not listed could lead to one family member entering Australia alone.

Would one be denied entry to Australia because he or she is making port entry alone?

Regards

Andy

Oh, I think I was little ambiguous which made you misinterpret my previous statement.

when I said "all PR holders (should make port entry)", i meant to say all of them should enter Australia before the port entry deadline.

It is not necessary for all of them to make the port entry together, it is just they need to make it before the deadline (separately or together, doesn't matter).

You need to apply and get a visa for her. Unfortunately, you can't just cut any shortcut here.

Consider before posting:
  • Do not post the same thing in multiple places.
  • No personal contact and/or non-English phrase is allowed.
  • Always post in a relevant thread or open a new one.
  • Better to use the reactions in a post to congratulate/thank.
