Dear Member,
It is important to follow some guideline while you contribute to this forum. This will help us maintain the forum, keep it clean and enable future members to find related topic easily (hence reduce duplicated thread).
Basically, you just need to use your common sense, and everything should be fine. Below are the few points that you should ask yourself before submitting any post:
1) Is my question related to this site? We are not, and never claimed to be, the expert on everything. We would rather be master of a particular topic than the Jack of all trades. So keep your discussion related to the forum content and site objectives. Please note, we have zero tolerance for any kind of 3rd party advertising post.
2) Has my question answered here before? It is a common trend to shoot a new question rather than searching for the answer first. While it might seem convenient than spending a couple of minutes in searching, often you can readily get your answer here in MD and thus can avoid the waiting time for us to answer your question. It also enables you to hear and understand different points of views which is important because we are not any migration agent or specialist, so what we advise might not be the best one all the time.
3) Is my question related to an existing topic? If your question is not directly answered before, but you find a similar topic, you can reply that thread to ask your question OR you can just open a new thread/topic. However what you should NEVER do is to ask your question to an unrelated existing topic (e.g. you should not ask about police clearance in "Step by step guide to EOI" thread).
4) Am I selecting a correct forum to ask a question? Just select a correct forum to ask your question. For example, if you have any difficulties/question while applying for Australia Immigration, you should ask in Discussion & Suggestions forum, if you need any clarification about the rules you should post in Information & Processes forum, for any post-immigration problem select Settling In Australia etc. Most of the time the forum name and description are self-explanatory, also we will be correcting any seldom mistakes by moving the post to correct forum, but what we don't expect is the flooding of such error.
Please note that all the posts here in MD are meant to help you and any future reader. It is not a consultancy service that offers advice for an individual's benefit. So, we appreciate you do not request to delete your posts after your requirements are served unless the post contains any sensitive information. The posts in MD will remain until it's last breath unless it contains any confidential/sensitive information.
Finally, please note that this is intended to be a community-driven support forum. The admins here are neither any migration agent nor any professional in this field. We take our time from our "real" professional duty to answer questions on this site based on our personal experience, and we would like to see other people doing the same.
So please engage yourself here to answer community questions even after you get your answer. This way we can survive in the long run.
