Dear Members,

With a very fast growing community, here in MigrationDesk (MD) we intend to keep things tidy, to the point, unbiased, and trouble-free. As MD is initiated, managed, supported, and run by the community and does not share any link with any organization in any aspect, it is our, including you, duty to help in attaining the goal. Hence, it is important to follow the following guidelines while posting to maintain our integrity.

Copyright Infringement:

In MD, we absolutely don't support any copyright infringement. Hence, please refrain from posting exact text/images (by copying, or taking a snapshot) from other sources unless you receive an explicit consent from the owner, or the content is licensed for free distribution. Please remember, the absence of a copyright notice does NOT mean it is fine to copy that content. You can copy it only when you have an explicit permission or visible copyright notice that permit you to do so. Copyright infringement is a big issue in the current world, and everyone should take special care to keep himself/herself out of any trouble.

Link to 3rd party unofficial sites:

We do not allow/appreciate/encourage posting a direct link to any 3rd party unofficial sites as our policy is not to endorse anyone. If you feel it relevant, you can refer to a site by its title, but without attaching/embedding a link. I am sure the readers can search by the title if they deem necessary.

The only exception is the Immigration News section where you are allowed to post a direct link under "News Source" field (avoid posting in the post body). Also, to avoid any copyright issue, do not post the content of the link, instead a summarized version of the news article would help the readers decide whether they want to browse the link or not.

This is a "must know" nowadays. People do have the humane tendency to take everything for granted.
Apart from this, I'd repeat one common point, which have been mentioned a number of times, all over the forum; Not to divulge personal details in your posts, profile posts or even in the common chat room, since each and every single one of these are accessible to public and may not do you good. If you are keen on sharing, then do that on personal chat/conversation.

Consider before posting:
  • Do not post the same thing in multiple places.
  • No personal contact and/or non-English phrase is allowed.
  • Always post in a relevant thread or open a new one.
  • Better to use the reactions in a post to congratulate/thank.
