Dear Admin,
I have some question as follows:
say, someone applied for PR at Canada & beside of this he/she also applied for PR at Australia (at a time). assume that, he/she got PR first from Canada & stamped in his/her passport for Canadian PR. After some days He/She again nominated for Australian PR or vise versa.
Question-1) Can he/she take both countries PR in his/her passport?
Question-2) will he/she able to get citizen in both countries in future?
is it possible if is then what will happen & how? pls let me know the details.
B.Rgds
Suman

Everything depends on individual country's policy.

Australia does support multiple citizenship as well as PR, so there would not be an issue. As par my knowledge, so does Canada. So you should not have an issue if your home country also support multiple citizenship.

For example, China does not support multiple citizenship. So any Chinese citizen must renounce/abandon their Chinese citizenship before getting Australian/Canadian passport.

Consider before posting:
  • Do not post the same thing in multiple places.

  • Always post in a relevant thread or open a new one.
  • Better to use the reactions in a post to congratulate/thank.
