Hi Guru's

I have done my Bachelors of Science in Maths, Electronics and Physics (3 year full time study in INDIA) and have overall 11.4 years IT experience (ANZSCO - Developer programmer -261312). In which category would my degree be considered (like ICT major or Minor) and how many points can I expect to be claim?

Also based on your other links I could see points on breakup for Experience but no where you had mentioned about Degree points.

So I am looking to understand how many points I can claim for my degree and points for experience ? (I would need 25 for degree and at least 10 for work experience to apply PR, so not sure if I am realistic here and hence need your expertise or may be an idea on point 2). Appreciate your early response!!!

Thanks & Regards
Raj

Since you donot have any ICT content in your degree, ACS wont assess your degree and will ask you to submit RPL application which will eventually deduct 6 years of relevant experienve. You can claim degree points though by having another assessment from Vetassess called "Point Test Advice"

Thanks for your reply, but I have a question, I have done my B,sc in Electronics from Osmania University and 33 % of my content is in Electronics, will this still not be considered as ICT ?

Is there any one who have assessed ACS for B,sc non computers?

Thanks & Regards
Raj

No. ICT content should be at least 60-70 %. You can give it a try, if they feel its not eligible, they will ask you to convert your application in RPL route

Yah let me try and see, if not then I have to take RPL route, thanks again for your reply.

I have another question, After my graduation I worked for a company for 1.5 years and later I traveled abroad to pursue diploma in non IT related course, after 3.5 years I returned back to my home country and joined the old company.

So my question is since my diploma is non IT I don't want to declare it, so this should be ok right ?
Also since I got gap in my experience within the same company, can I use one reference letter from the Manager?

Appreciate in advance for your response.

Thx
raj

yes fine

One letter is enough as long as the dates and gap is clearly mentioned

Hi There,

Can you help me out with below questions:

I am planning to apply under family nomination 491 visa and my relative resides in postcode 6155 and as per the Sponsor eligible location, it seems correct. However this postcode is under metropolitan, so can I still apply this?

Also I have PTE which is a competent score and expired in Dec 2017, how ever it stays 3 years validity, could you please confirm if this is correct?

So for age 25, Experience 5 or 10 (depends), Bachelors 15, sponsor 15, single 10 points, PTE 0.

Thanks & Regards
Raj

I had BSc from Mumbai University non computer. They deducted 6 years of prime experience and only considered the rest as skilled. I had to give RPL report. Probably you too would have the same fate. Be very careful with RPL as well as they go through every word to judge it’s originality.

Is RPL based on a project or education? what is the processing time for it? Does it cost additional or it is part of ACS only?

The RPL should focus on the projects in ICT that you have done to become a skilled ICT professional . It could also highlight any IT certification gained. But RPL is necessary as some of our profiles are considered as lacking the ICT “ education”. For non ICT qualification professionals it’s better to file an RPL application along with the ACS . If it’s filed seperate post ACS response it will cost extra ( you might check I think it’s 200 AUD extra ) . Along with ACS application it takes approximately four weeks to get the assessment results

Thanks for the reply.

Can we submit RPL along with ACS application for the first time, or have to only apply when ACS asks after verifying the education?
If you are decently sure your qualifications would be assessed as non ict , it’s better to submit RPL along with ACS

Hi Gurus,

Can you please guide on ACS skill assessment, what are the documents which need to be Notarized?

1. Education: I have done this certified by Advocate with Notary seal, Attested, Certified True copy.
Do I need to mention the Time of attestation as well? I had missed this part.

2. For Identification, I am submitting passport color copy, does this need to be Notarized?

3. I worked for 5 companies, so should I notarize Offer, Relieving, Payslips?. I am already submitting Experience letter from Managers with roles and responsibilities from all 5 companies does this suffice?

4. Should I also submit CV or not needed?

Your help is much appreciated..

Thanks

1. I think the person who attests would mention the date. If its not done, its better to get it done.

2. Self attestation should be good enough.

3. Notarizing experience letter from manager is good enough. But along with that you will need to provide HR reference / relieving letter as well on company letterhead

4. Yes

ACS will come back and ask you in case there is any change in requirements for the above mentioned.

Hi Gurus,

According to the new rules after Nov 2019, it is required to provide two proofs for salary, but the first company which I worked 15 years ago gave only payslips and paid me in cash, and there was no payment into the bank or form 16 and neither PF, so how should I prove this, is payslips not enough? do they still consider this if I request HR to provide a letter on their letterhead?

Does this lead to ACS rejection?

Regards\

Check ACS latest guidelines, they are not asking for notary attestation these days, instead, color copies of originals are required. Only notary is required for unofficial documents like statutory declaration etc.
