Dear Sir,
I got my positive assessment from EA. I have 5.1 years experience but i got only 6 months relevant work experience which really disappointed me. Even i submitted all the necessary information related to my experiences. Even with this experience i didn't got any point for work experience. Now the score for mechanical was 75 and more but with this work experience i am not in cue. If i score 8 each then also i score 65. Can you please put some light that what can i do and how this happen.? I really want to know about the score of overseas work experiences.
Regards
Sahil

For 5 years of relevant work experience, you are supposed to get 10 points. However, if EA awarded you only 6 months, it means either rest of the experience is no relevant, or you could not provide enough evidence. I recommend you to sort out your documentation first.

I am a little bit confused, if I have 8 years of experience, and I didn't apply for relevant skill employment assessment, I only did my CDR, can I claim 15 points for my experience, or it is mandatory to make relevant employment assessment to clam the 15 points ?!

Not mandatory but highly recommended. and Yes you can claim points if it is in similar occupation
if I'm working for the same company for 8 years, for how long I have to submit salary slips ?! for the relevant skill employment assessment ?!!
few from each year and maximum from current year

Hi,

I read all the posts above, but I am still a little clueless, I haven't started my application for Migration Skill Assessment and I was confused if I should go for the relevant skilled employment assessment or no? The issue that I am facing is that although my profession is of Structural Engineer, my work permit from the company says document controller (since i did not receive the certificates attested when i joined the company) and later when I transferred my visa to the company visa, engineering visa slots were not available so they have put me under housekeeping visa category, so I am not able to provide any secondary documents to prove my employment. Primary documents i can arrange. My first doubt is

1. What other secondary documents can be submitted other than work permit or labor contract? Here in U.A.E, there are no income tax letters that are issued, so i cant obtain one like that as well.
2. If there is no secondary documents, can i still submit for skilled employment assessment from Engineers Australia?

Please help!

In this case better dont go for RSEA as EA is quite rigid and they wont accept your assessment without secondary documents.

Theoretically speaking, RSEA from EA is not mandatory. DHA will do your experience verification during visa processing (after you lodge a visa application). If you have enough document to prove your claim, you might be fine.

Hi everyone,
My brother's degree is B-Tech (Hons) Mechanical Technology and it was 4 years programme so can I choose professional engineers at the time of assessment or will it fall under Engineering Technologist?
