Hi everyone,

I would like to know if we can apply same EOI under the same occupation and same visa more than once. Actually, I applied my 189 visa under ICT security specialist through lawyer. However, I think I should apply it by my own too to go safe side.
is it okay to apply EOI with same visa and same occupation again?
Is there any need to worry?

Technically you can do that- but if your new EOI is just going to be a duplicate of original - then it doesn’t make much sense as the EOIs will be picked up as per DOE and incase you are going to get an invite - it will be for your first EOI. Why don’t you get the credentials and maintain it yourself.

I don't think at all that the lawyer will provide me the credentials of his account because that would be his organisation account which includes a lot of other applications of his clients. What can be done in this case then, what do you think?
I was also thinking that it won't provide me any benefit because EOI was submitted earlier through lawyer so that will be the first one to get picked up.

May be I am wrong - but the credential is nothing but a EOI number and password- it should be unique for each not something his organisation account- again I don’t know how agency work- however just curious what makes you worry , if there is an invite he would let you know 😊 ? Is not the case?
@admins - please clarify

For future reference, one can open as many EOIs as one wants, but shouldn't accept invitations for more than 1 EOIs. So, in case someone wants to start processing on his own, better to advise the lawyer not to proceed with his application anymore.

Consider before posting:

  • Always post in a relevant thread or open a new one.
  • Better to use the reactions in a post to congratulate/thank.
