Hi everyone,

While filling Forms 80 and Form 1221, there is requirement of signature at the end of the document for both myself, and partner.

Since I don't wish to print and rescan all of it, can I just sign it using touchscreen laptop through Acrobat? Will that be acceptable? Someone told me that it usually corrupts the file and later causes problem while uploading the Forms. But I am keen on keeping it neat by uploading the digital copy, rather than printing and rescanning. Does it have any impact on the application?

Looking forward to suggestion/view.

Regards,
Atif

I would either print and rescan the signature page and merge with the rests, or use a scanned signature and attached it to the document.

I entered the data online, printed the pages requiring signatures, signed them by pen, scanned them and inserted them back into the pdf.

Great. Can you please guide how did you inserted the scanned page back into the PDF? Did you also manage to delete the page with no signature, or you let it be there and attached additional page with signature?

Thanks for reply.
I tried to upload the e-sign form-80 and the site doesnt let you do it. It gives an error while you try to attach the document.
It gives some encrypted document error. I will print and then sign adn scan it again.

I wouldn't do that. You can rather scan your signature separately and attach it to the document. But the best way is to print, sign, rescan and merge the signature page.

Can you please guide how did you inserted the scanned page back into the PDF?
You can do that using any software that can create/merge PDFs.

Did you also manage to delete the page with no signature, or you let it be there and attached additional page with signature?
You should remove the unsigned page.

I am unable to remove/merge the sign page from the document since its password protected.

Have your signature on a paper, extract it via photoshop or some tool and place it on the document via Foxit pdf editor (free), it will save the PDF with signature without corrupting the file

Or, use Adobe Acrobat Pro - you can add/remove/replace/merge any page(s).

Use option Fill & Sign in Adobe acrobat reader.
This has done the tick. I filled details in Adobe pdf editor and saved the file. Then, chose Fill & Sign and uploaded my sign. Saved. After saving we cannot edit/enter details in pdf since editing will be gone after the sign. I guess that's the reason, form 80 is secured and allowed to do the signature but not allowed to merge or change pages.

  • Always post in a relevant thread or open a new one.
  • Better to use the reactions in a post to congratulate/thank.
