Invitation statistics for high demand occupations

Due to large numbers of EOIs being received for the below occupations, DIBP decided to invite on a pro rata basis for these occupations over the 2017-18 program year. However, this process can be changed if the situation demands. SkillSelect first allocates available places to Skilled – Independent (subclass 189) visas and then remaining to Skilled – Regional (subclass 489) (Provisional – Family Sponsored) visas. If all places are taken up by subclass 189 visas then there will be no invitations issued for subclass 489 visas in these occupations.

Unfortunately 2631 is just moved 6 days!, its really frustrating

Going by the trend its seems I would have to wait for another 6 months to get an invite.

Am I only one who has 65 points and still expecting to get the invite soon?

I'm bit worried, if I don't get an invite by June 2018, does DIBP stops accepting it for next year as its in high demand category? Any such histories in the past by the way?

Based on the October results, I failed to understand the point of 489 invitation.

For 4 Oct the point was 60 with DOE 3rd Oct
For 18 Oct the point was 70 with DOE 8th Aug.


Why were 70 pointers not got an invitation for 489 on 4 Oct ??
Maybe they have invitation based on each occupation and not by points.
Can someone explain the criteria for 489 Family invitation

If this is not a frequent glitch that we observe in the system, maybe that 70 pointer was in a high demand occupation which was not invited before because, in HD occupation, 489 gets invitation only if there is no more 189 waiting.

My DOE is 25th April 2017 for Software Engineer with 65 points. Is there any chances of getting 189 invite in near future? My EOI expires in the month of May 2018.
