Hi,

I believe there was a invitation round last night. But DHA has not updated their website with any data, not even the Occupation Ceiling.
Does anyone have any idea, from previous exp, that how much time DHA normally takes to update their website post the invitation on 11th of every month ?

Iscah's predictions are scary. Those who have submitted EOI @75 points during late May or early June don't have any chance of getting invitation before June 2020. Does anyone know how reliable their data is ?
Moreover, there's more trouble coming after November 2019.

<Mod: No 3rd party unofficial link is allowed>

Who said anything about June 2020? And what's 'more trouble after Nov 2019?

Unofficial quota is estimated to be 800-1200 for this round (189). All 80 point applicants seem to have been invited which means there'll be fewer 80 point applicants next month. With the same quota range over the next few month my migration agent seems to think my 75 EOI submitted in April could potentially make the cut in November 2019.

Where did you get your info from? It seems to really contradict what my agent has told me so am genuinely interested in your sources?

Just looked Isca up- hadn't heard of it before. Am assuming you're referring to this table?

It looks like this sort of matches what I've been told by my agent yeh...

Please check my original post for the link. If the link is removed by the moderator any any policy, then google iscah. They post updates on predictions for getting invitations. I've been following their post and my comment is based on that.

And what's 'more trouble after Nov 2019?
Please check with your agent. DHA is going to award 10 more points to those who are single or both the partners have skilled experience in the same job code. This means, if I am applying as a family with my wife not having skilled experience with 75 points, and a person currently at 65 points but single or both the husband-wife have skilled experience will also be at 75 after 16th of November. Moreover, being at same point level, the priority would be given to the single applicant or the couple both having skilled exp.

Unofficial quota is estimated to be 800-1200 for this round (189). All 80 point applicants seem to have been invited which means there'll be fewer 80 point applicants next month. No it doesn't contradict what your agent has told you. The figures you have given seems to be picked up from iscah website i.e. your agent is also giving you data from iscah. As per iscah, as you mentioned about your EOI date as April, you will likely get invitation in Oct or Nov 2019. The above problem which I have mentioned, will impact those who have submitted their EOI after May / June

yup, this table, and as per this, 75 pointers who submitted their EOI after May / June might be in trouble after the new points policy is implemented in Nov. Iscah has clearly mentioned that this table doesn't factor in the November changes.

This is indeed scary... I am still confused about the new points system, Does the new points like the bachelor one are applicable to all the visa's or only for the new visa's 491 & 494?

So far I know, its for 189/190 at least. The rest I'm not sure about. Basically DHA is clearly indicating that they don't want to waste their quota on family unless they have skilled experience. For example, if I get a call then I will consume total three from the available quota and I'm the only qualifying person in terms of skilled experience. My wide doesn't have skilled exp in the same field so it doesn't count as per DHA.

so is it like if some is married and does not want to include his family and claim the bachelor points....?? By that way DHA can save that quota o_O

Don't know how they are going to implement this.
Right now, in the EOI form you might have found the questions like "Are you single or married" ? and "Do you want to include your family in a future application" ? Right now one has to answer the second question as "Yes" if he wants his family to accompany him in Australia.
Obviously, a married person having kids will not apply showing himself as a single, that's a crime as the applicant signs the disclaimer at the end of the application.
The final announcement, regarding the implementation of the new point system, is yet to come.

Well you got good score so I guess you need not worry about the new system... Until the new system kicks off you would have launch your application... 👍

I doubt, as 75 pointers who have applied after mid of May don't have any chance of getting invitation before June 2020 (as per iscah website) unless the DHA invites at least 2000 per round which looks impossible at this moment. Basically if 75 pointers cross November then it would be interesting to see how things progress.

But you got 80 with state so if you get that invite then u need not worry... well I guess currently for all the categories the cut off is like 80... So if you have 80 then you can expect something. But things have changed a lot since last year same time... many people got invite with 65-70 points as well ( Not sure about this but have read somewhere)

True, you can check the data in Myimmitracker website. Their data doesn't give you prediction of your invitation because they have very less data. But you can at least see the trend. Yes, people with 65-70 got invitation last year from the State (VIC)

So my profession is software engineering, for which if you're sitting at 75 points you will have to wait for like a year. I am waiting for my NAATI CLL results, which if I pass I will get an extra 5 points, putting me at 80. I am single and won't be including anyone in my application.

For software engineers, invites are given within 2 months if you're at 80 points and within 1 months if you're 85 and above. 33% of the applicants are single.

Me being single, I will be able to claim an extra 10 points from the 16th of november. Would you guys say that the extra 10 points will give me an advantage? The reason I ask is that if everyone gets an extra 10 points for being single wouldn't the cut off go up? if it does go up, will it go up by 5 points or 10 points? cause if that is the case the extra 10 points won't do good for me and I'll have to get an extra 5 points to make the cut on time...

What are your guys thoughts on this?

Your understanding is correct regarding cut off going up or everyone getting additional points but I guess it will give an extra edge to those whom points are not getting reduced by other means (like crossing age limit etc.) so for some at least, it will give some advantage if rest other points will remain same

My points will most likely stay the same, but what I'm wondering is how much of an advantage will it give me?
