Below are the number of invitation issued in differ state sponsor subclasses during 2016-2017 season. Please note that the total published here might not be consistent with this list, may be due to some withdrawal of invitation by DIBP or some mathematical issue while publishing in DIBP website.

Well, that is a tricky question. Depends on which state you applied, how many invitations that state sends in your occupation per month (on average), how many back logs are there. And unfortunately, none of these information are released by the state.

The thing is, DIBP/states does not release any occupation-wise information for subclass 190, so it is impossible to comment what is the chance in "civil engineer" skill with 60 points (including 5 points for state sponsorship).

But I believe you have already submitted your EOI, right? When did you submit that?

Okay, 4 months is a moderate waiting time, not long enough to loose you hope. I certainly know people who got invitation at 55+5 points in certain occupations, but I am not aware of your specific occupation (like I said, unfortunately DIBP does not reveal that information).

Just few comments, I think 8 times IELTS is too many, you may try some alternatives (like PTE) or other means of improving your point (like NAATI exam or so).

1st, nobody can guess how much it would take because there is not enough data release by DIBP.

2nd, doesn't SA requires 70 points for sponsorship? Or you applied in 489 family sponsor stream?

Hi,
I applied for NSW 190 visa under Telecommunications engineer profession (263311) in June 2016. I have 55 individual points (age 30+ education 15+ Pte 10). Still I didn't receive any update or an invitation.
Is it possible to know any information regarding above mentioned profession?

I don't have work experience in Australia or in my native country. And I'm not a graduate from an Australian university either. So is it possible to apply 190 visa for NT?

This is something nobody can comment with certainty. Moreover, the chance varies with occupation.

Why dont you try your luck with PTE. It is acceptable and you can easily get score equivalent to 7 band.

Raman

Dear MysticRiver,
Is there any hope for 55 pointer a civil engineer with 5 years experience to get NSW invitation with 6 band in IELTS (6.5 overall).

I realy tried to get the 7 on all band but all my trials 8 ielts exams I did not get it.
I am losing hope.. or there is still a chance.

Thanks in advance.

That's definitely worth a try, but the statement is arguable (that PTE is easier than IELTS). I have heard contradicting opinion on this.

I think that's a nice topic for open debate.

It's not possible to forecast due to lack of data from DIBP.
