Dear All,

Request 1 : I received the invite for 189 Visa class.
There were 17 guided steps asking information on self, spouse and dependent child.
However, when i complete the 17th step, its asking me to submit, I am not sure as where to upload the documents.
Will I need to upload the documents after I submit OR how it works? I am little hesitant to click on SUBMIT, as I am trying to do without agent.

Hence the request as what will happen after I click SUBMIT? Will I be able to go back and change the information or all the information entered are FROZEN and non-editable?

Request 2: Will it ask me to upload the documents after I click SUBMIT?

Request 3 : I have all the original documents, but I have NOT done the police verification and health check up? When do I need to submit the Police clearance and health checkup,? Are these need to be submitted along with the original application or how does it work? Will it ask for Police clearance and Health checkup during upload of documents?

Request 4: Singapore Police is asking me a proper documentation as why I need police clearance, what document should I submit to Singapore police to convince them that I need it for Australian Immigration?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards,
AusAspirant

1 & 2. There will be no option to upload documents during visa application lodgement. After you pay the fee and submit your application, you will have an ImmiAccount profile where you'll have a document checklist and options to upload documents.

3. You do not need to upload anything until your CO asks, however you should upload everything as soon as you can without waiting for your CO to avoid unnecessary delay. For HC and PC though, DIBP advices to wait for CO to ask because, in case your processing took a long time and you do PC and HC voluntarily at the beginning, they might expire and you might be asked to do them again.

However, many still take that risk to make sure they can save every possible day and so, end decision is yours.

4 Usually you take the print put of the document checklist or your CO's email . If they want something more official, you will need to contact your local Australian high commission who will provide you an official letter of the requirement.

1. Is Health check needed in 100% of cases?
I've read somewhere (or someone told me) that sometimes they don't ask you to do one. Is that right at all?

2. I am also a bit confused about CO allocation. I understood that if you upload all the documents, you might not even get one, thus fastening the process. However, I've seen people lodged the visa quite soon and yet received CO sometime after? Is that because they missed some document or similar?

3. Is that what Direct Grant means? After being invited, to lodge visa with ALL the needed documents (so that no "correction" or updating is needed)?

3b) Or is Direct Grant possible when you do that even BEFORE being invited? If that is the case, then I'm not sure how to do it, since on Immiacount there is no possibility to choose 189 visa (except for New Zealand stream) at all.

Thank you!!

Yes for Permanent visas.

DIBP said:
All applicants for permanent and provisional visas including the main applicant, spouse and any members of the family unit must be assessed against the health requirement.

CO is assigned all the time (how come your application will be assessed if no CO is assigned). The thing is, if you have all the necessary documents uploaded, you may not be notified about/contacted by your CO.

Is that what Direct Grant means?
Yes, it is not an official term. It's just commonly used when DIBP does not contact you for any additional documents and gives you a grant directly.

Or is Direct Grant possible when you do that even BEFORE being invited? If that is the case, then I'm not sure how to do it, since on Immiacount there is no possibility to choose 189 visa (except for New Zealand stream) at all.
How do you upload documents before getting an invitation? You won't have a TRN/application number to upload/email any documents against.
