Hi,
My student visa expires on the 1st of July and I am planning to apply for the 408 visa, with a contract for a full-time position as a graduate engineer that I have recently received. I would have preferred to go through the normal pathway of applying for a graduate visa right after my student visa expires, but my student visa expires before I receive my final results/completion letter from my university, which is on the 10th of July. Also due to the current financial situation that I am in, I would like to avoid the immediate spending of $2000 on my graduate visa application.
Since I have been away from home for a long time and due to unavoidable commitments, I have booked tickets to travel back home on the 8th of July and return on the 13th of August. So I would like to know if applying for a 408 visa and then putting through an application for a bridging visa B is considered a good way to deal with my current circumstances. I would really appreciate any advice or other pathways that I could take.
Thank you.
