Sub Class 189/190 Visa Grants Gang

If you have already lodged the visa application, that's the end for the points. No need to improve the points any further, because the points are considered only for giving out invites, no more than that.

Not sure about that. If they find any issues, they'll ask for further information. Always depends on the CO though.

All the best.
@Dileep tnx for the responses, do you think I have any chances based on this to get granted? Or I’m I just overthinking everything? Do CO uses their discretion on similar issues? I have also been living and working in a more remote area since my graduation in a professional job now.

Another issue, while claiming a point, I studied in the regional area, my Uni postcode reflected this, but while studying, my home address postcode wasn't on the list and i claimed a point for regional study at that point, would there be any issue regarding this, despite i studied in a regional area?
I am not certain as well, but thinking out loud, I believe when they ask about study in the regional area, they don't care about your address. the latter is part of criteria for living in the regional area which is no associated with your claim I believe.

Don't worry, let the processing follows its own course. Especially now that your point is locked, whatever you do here doesn't matter anyway. So, no reason to overthink or be concerned unless you know your claim is wrong.

P.S.: You have been a regular poster for some time, why don't just create a free account here so that you can track your post any time. Not that it's necessary, just saying you might find that useful.

@MysticRiver yes my regional work is not part of my claim, it’s just my current professional job that I found in a regional area.

@MysticRiver ok,I’ll look at creating an account here then. My claims are right, except that I started to get worried if I had to live and study or just study in the regional area. Like you said, let the application process take it course. Besides, if something was gonna be wrong with my point claim, BSMQ should av pointed that out as I applied through the state 190 pathway.

I think you'll be fine on this front.

Its more than 2 months now since I lodged my application under 189. Most the friends gave an impression that the application is processed within 3 months. I am still waiting for any kind of response.

The application home page says "received", which I think means that my case is in progress.

I uploaded all my documents in one shot including health clearance, Police clearance and Form 80(Self). I was expecting a faster response as nothing is apparently pending from my side.

Appreciate comments from experts.

Cheers.

While there are a few cases that took less than 3 months, I think it's a bit far fetched to root for that to happen in general, when DHA says

Like you said, just over 2 months, you can't even get a graduate visa in 2 months anyloger not to talk of a permanent residency visa. It could take as long as 4-6 months for processing to be finalized while 190 stream takes 6-8 months.

Nothing yet. no CO contact.
My lodgement date on 14 December - 190 NSW
I don't know what strategy they are using, maybe they are trying to get 189 out of the queue and start 190 at some point, whatever they case might be, I don't think its fair on 190 applicants as we all paid the same visa fees and expecting a CO contact or DG at least. Silence is killing. I still don't know why they prioritized 189 over 190 despite 190 has a job requirement which means 90% of applicants has one sort of job.

Hi thanks for reply, actually i have applied for 189 and my husband claimed functional english through his bachelor of information technology course which was english medium course. But unfortunately his dob was incorrect in his character certificate which we didnt notice before. And he passed whole four years course in eight years due to postponment of his college and his backpapers. So my co had contacted his office to verify these adverse info but college also overlooked the mail and after four months of sending mail to college co sent njl, which is really frustrating at the moment. We tried to explain this situation with all the most possible valid reasons and supporting documents lets see how will it go. College has issued new character along with other verification to prove adverse information. We have also submitted all hid backpapers passed grade sheet to show when he actually graduated and why it took eight years. If you have any suggestions plz do comment will really appreciate it. Thx!!
I think if you have covered all the possible scenarios and if your documens are genuine then you need not to be worried. It will take time but you will get positive result.
If you know someone in the college then provide his\her contact information so that he can be approached by CO this time and your case gets resolved quickly. Best of luck. Do update us here once you get a reply from CO.

Dance in the rain my friend. Be happy and enjoy. That's the next step you should take. 😉😉😉
Jokes apart, plan the timelines you want to move to Australia to. Look out for areas you want to stay in.
Once you have landed in Australia, get your medicare card done as the first thing then bank account and tax file number.

Hi everyone

My EOI opened got an invite to NSW in december 2016 under cook. I completed all documents and filed my case with dipb by 12 of jan 2017. On 4th of april 2017 my co got assigned and asked for medicals and pcc, and i provided both by 25th or april 2017.

After almost one and a half year i got a physical verification at my work place like on 23rd of may 2018. One foreing lady and one translator by that time i had left my old workplace and started a new job in another restaurant by my agent was not guiding me well. He never informed me that even after filing your visa with immigration you have to let them know about any changes.

Anyways they came for physical verification. Show my picture to cashier and asked do you know this guy he answered yes he was our previous employee and used to work here as a cook. Being a cashier he was not sure about how long i have worked in the firm he said approx 3 4 years where as i have claimed points for 6 years. He even told i can be wrong should i call my boss by immigration officer said no we jst need answers from you.

So there were two fumbles in my ev one he was not sure about my working years and my agent didnt guide me well and i didnt inform dipb about leaving job. After i came to know from my previous collegue i told my agent. My agent next day called me and said we need to inform dipb about your leaving the job and i need to give him the offer letter of a restaurant i am working at the moment. I gave him both my termination letter from my previous work and offer letter of my new job and a form was filled.

Now its almost a year after physical verification and i have heard nothing from immigration i called and mailed bt no reply. I have no idea what is happening. Its almost more than 2 years now i have filed my application.

How long does immigration take to send nj letter. I hope and pray that i dont get it bt jst curious cause its been so long.

And yea one last thing i was paid cash salary. So no bank statement or itr was shown. I had given salary certificates on my owners restaurant letter pad promotion letter appointment letter roles n duties etc everything on letter pad or my previous restaurant with the stamp and sing of owner.

Hi,

Were you claiming points for that experience which was physically verified ?
