Hi All,

I had submitted my EOI under 189 for the occupation 233512 (Mechanical engineer). The points were calculated to be 65. Now I am also planning to apply for 190 as well through Victoria (which will raising the points to 70, I believe). Will you please clarify the following doubts am having.

1. Do I need to submit a separate EOI for the 190 or will the present one be updated?
2. Is additional paper work required for raising an EOI for 190 subclass (Vic)?
3. IS there any specific time for ITA in the case of 190, as the ITA rounds for 189?
4. What are the chances of getting an ITA for either of these subclass, with the present points, within 2 months (for 190, post submission of EOI)?

Thank you for all the help you and this awesome forum has been rendering.

1. You should not update subclass for the already submitted EOI, as it'll change your visa date of effect. There is no limit on how many EOIs you can submit.

2. For Victoria, you have to apply separately in Victoria website for state nomination. Unlike NSW, only submitting an EOI will not work for VIC. Check this link for details, look for the section "How to apply for Victorian visa nomination: All other occupations".

3. No

4. Nobody can tell that, unfortunately.

@MysticRiver Thanks for the prompt reply.
Well, I got one more query regarding the 190. Does WA has the same conditions as of VIC or does it differ? Also heard that WA is not giving nominations for 233512, but I'd like to know where I can know more regarding WA as the link you provided for VIC, which was by the way really helpful.

Yes, each state has different criteria.

You heard it right, WA is not giving sponsorship to your skill. To apply for WA sponsorship, you must have your occupation in WA skilled migration occupation list (WASMOL) and yours is not there.

A detailed process, criteria and the list is available in the below link
Process & criteria: http://www.migration.wa.gov.au/serv...n-australia/how-to-apply-for-state-nomination
WASMOL: http://www.migration.wa.gov.au/services/skilled-migration-western-australia/occupations-in-demand

You can submit multiple EOI with a single SkillSelect account. Just create new EOI each time.

@inpink I was about to say the authority for replying to this query is @MysticRiver , since I am not aware of the processes. I only have questions so far :)
And you already got the reply.

We maintain a perfect democracy here and so, everybody has the authority to reply every post :). Actually, we always prefer and encourage all members to share their thought, because we are not a consulting agency, rather a community of current+prospective applicants. We just discuss our opinions, never give a decision, it's up to the end user to decide which opinion he/she should pursue :).

I've read somewhere that for some, they created a new Skillselect account. Do you think there will be any implication for such?
Yes, a quite unnecessary complication.

@MysticRiver I meant that you know the details and I've just started scratching the outer. ;) Maybe after a couple of weeks I can provide the suggestions myself, without confusing our dear members.

Hello Dileep,

Did you submit EOI under 190 and got an invite?.
I have submitted EOI under 189 at 65 points during May 2017. But did not get an invite yet.
So, planning to submit another EOI under 190 under Victoria nomination.
Any suggestions?

I got the ITA under 189. The 190 for VIC was not successful.

All will depend on the points and occupation for 189. But in the case of 190, we cannot say anything. Everything entirely rests with the states.
