The name and position of the person authorised to sign the reference should be typed
or stamped below that person's signature - a reference with only an illegible signature
will not be accepted.
● The direct contact number of the person writing the reference should be included in the letter.
● The letter should indicate the exact period of employment, position(s) held including whether permanent or temporary, full or part time, the main five duties undertaken, and the salary earned - position(s) should not be described by generic title(s) (for example, research officer, public servant), but according to the nature of the duties undertaken (for example, research chemist, accounts clerk).
Have you covered all these aspects in your statutory declaration? Seems like you might be missing some details as they asked above. You can check and submit a new one again. Also, try to add as many proofs as possible this time for each employment period. Payslips, reference letters, promotions, income tax certificates, tax filing records, insurance, offer letter, bank statements etc

Hi mohsinciddiki,

Thanks for your reply.

I believe I have covered all the points in my Statutory Declaration. Even attached all salary slips, 26As, income tax returns and appointment letter.

The remaining docs from above list are promotion letters, bank statement and PPF statement.

What is reference letter?

I am really confused why they are asking for employment reference on company letterhead, I mean if it has be given by HR, I won't be able to provide that.

Regards
Rajesh

Provide all these and attach the old SD again after checking if it fulfils each of the mentioned requirement. Plus check if you can get any other letter from your HR on their letterhead which mentions your name and duration e.g. salary certificate

I have one letter from HR stating my name, designation and Date of Joining, but not salary and roles and responsibilities(which they gave me in Oct 2019 for UK visa, though there is no mention of UK in the letter.

I can't get the salary and roles and responsibilities from HR 😔

Do I need to get the fresh statutory letter

Also, please suggest what is reference letter, which you mentioned above.

Rajesh

If all the above criteria are mentioned in previous SD then no need for a new, same can be provided again.
Also, please suggest what is reference letter, which you mentioned above.
Normal letter from your HR confirming your date of employment and posistion
have one letter from HR stating my name, designation and Date of Joining, but not salary and roles and responsibilities(which they gave me in Oct 2019 for UK visa, though there is no mention of UK in the letter.

Just to add, the SD must be signed by a work colleague, preferably by someone in your supervising level.

Dear friends
Could you please clarify the question.
I am calculating points for 190 visa, in and get a tricky question…
I am a Public Relation specialist ANZSCO 225311 and I already have successful skill assessment by Vetassess
If I consider study in Australia, 2 year Master program, can I claim +5 points if this program will be DIFFERENT from ANZSCO 225311? For Example, If I study some Project Management, etc…
The main question, these +5 points for Master degree in AU will be given only if specialisation will be inline with profession or not?
or in other words, will I be given points for education which is not connected to ANZSCO?

At least, DHA didn't mention anything about the relevancy of your degree.

Hi @MysticRiver,

Hope you must be safe and doing good!

I have one query to ask:
CO contacted me on 18Feb2020 asking few employment documents, which I submitted on 12 March 20. It is approximately 6 months now, but I have not heard back. Is it usual in current time? Have you come across any case where the 189PR is granted after CO contact in recent time.
I know it's not possible to predict in this though time, but just wanted to understand how much delay I should expect.

Apologies in advance for the vague question.

Regards
Rajesh

They are focusing on critical sectors and occupations more these days and delaying the other grants. So expect some more delay in processing

@mohsinciddiki do critical sectors only include the 17 occupations you've posted the other day or also occupations that have been receiving invitations in July/ Aug 2020. There have been invitations for occupations that are not on the priority list.

Hi @MysticRiver/Experts,

I have two queries as below:
1: The company I am working with from last 10+ years is sold and renamed, Do I need to mention about it, in my application? if yes, how? and what if I do not update it?
2: I am blessed with a baby boy this month, though I got his birth certificate from the hospital, due to COVID, can't take him to the Passport office for his passport. Should I update about my baby in my application? or shall I wait for PR Grant, and later apply for his PR.

Regards
Rajesh

That's not a big deal that can impact your application as long as it doesn't change your job title or position etc.
I am blessed with a baby boy this month, though I got his birth certificate from the hospital, due to COVID, can't take him to the Passport office for his passport. Should I update about my baby in my application? or shall I wait for PR Grant, and later apply for his PR.
Better to add now because later it can take 12-24 months for his visa grant

  • Always post in a relevant thread or open a new one.
