So far, USA does not have any merit based migration polyicy, i.e. people are judged either by family ties or by means of lottery, which gives minimum/no priority on work experience or advanced degrees. But recently, the U.S. Senate's immigration bill creates a ranking system that would weigh many prospective immigrants on a 100-point scale measuring work experience, English fluency, education and other factors.

Those who score highest would win a green card (permanent U.S. residency) split between white-collar and blue-collar workers. Of course there will be some annual quota limiting this.

The system is proposed to launch in 2018, with the target of admission of about 2.4 million people By 2033, if the Senate proposal is passes. Initially it will be 120,000 immigrants annually, however the number could rise by 5 percent to a maximum 250,000 per year based on unemployment and job demand.

There will be no minimum threshold in this system (unlike Australia & Canada), the people with the highest scores will win the available slots.

Yaa, agreed ... I personally hate any kind of lottery based system unless the objective is only to increase population without giving any extra effort.

Good psychology is very important for the interview
Thought comfortably and clearly identify your audience will contact the USCIS staff, responsible for US citizenship interview, ask yourself the questions related to finance, housing, future plans ... And the common problems in psychology you were:
- Afraid so before in interviews - psychological overstretched.
- Say no clear, mumble or stumbling.
- Talkative that even themselves do not know they're also expressing something.
- Saying too little information to open-ended questions do not express the essential.

Besides, it is equally important that your appearance. Indecent groomed: Apparel polite to make a good impression, first impression is very important, especially when you have very little time to talk to officials interviewed for your US citizenship test - who usually only have a few minutes to conduct your interview process and make a decision.

In short, the citizenship, the interview is successful or not depends on many factors, in addition to preparing full papers, psychological interviews before also affects a significant part in the citizenship , records satisfactory but since lost his temper, lack of confidence or embarrassing interview many applicants were inadvertently create doubt where the interviewer for naturalization purposes, the main things for the right time this easily leads to defeat for the interview.

I was living in USA for a certain time until mid 2017 and this topic was a hype at that time. Yes, the president wants to cancel the famous DV lottery system and replace it with a points based migration process. Due to recent incidents in NYC and places the authorities has investigated on the method of entry of these attackers. Some of them had legally migrated wining the DV lottery. Besides, I personally know some people who even didn't want to settle in USA had won the DV lottery. With all security concerns and getting in resourceful people in to the country who can contribute towards the betterment of the country are expected to migrate. Good for the country as well as qualified people, but again I feel sorry for the people who are less fortunate on their education & career. The only hope they had is gone!
