VFS Sydney for India PCC

Did anyone apply for PCC from VFS Sydney?
Do they (police) go to the address ?

Reason I asked because:

• The house is locked.
• Nobody in the neighbourhood knows me because I was living there on rent and left the place almost 7 years ago when I left India in 2015.
• Parents moved to another district.

I will be applying for citizenship in last week of October.

I am in the same situation… How did it go with you.

Submitted my application without PCC. Planning to get it from Indian passport office. Going to India in 2023.
I have written to immi department about this (no response) and wrote letters to Indian consulate in Sydney thrice (no response).
I don’t want to risk giving away my passport and limit my travel. Also, don’t want to risk getting a negative PCC because of onsite unavailability at address in India. You might have read this entire post but I will still rant about it anyway. The requirement is criminal records check and It is totally illogical to verify address for that. If there are criminal no records in passport office and/or with police station the PCC should be clean. No idea why they have to send someone to the address. That’s the last place a criminal will go to after committing any crime. And we already mentioned in the application that we are living abroad why the heck they need to check if I am at my home in India. It’s ridiculous.
Also, isn’t it a good verification method if I am going to vfs office or Indian consulate.
