Hello,

Victoria has stated the following on their website..

"Victoria's skilled visa nomination program is now closed as we have filled the places provided to us for the 2019-20 program year. This includes both the Skilled Nominated (Permanent) visa (subclass 190) and the Skilled Work Regional
(Provisional) visa (subclass 491).

Applications received prior to 28 May 2020 will continue to be assessed and you will be advised of the
outcome in due course. New applications will be accepted in 2020-21.

We encourage you to reapply in the new program year. You will be given an automatic waiver which means you will not have to wait six months to reapply. You will need to check for any updates to the eligibility requirements before reapplying. A new application will need to be submitted via the Live in Melbourne portal."
............

I suppose this is for visa application on their portal, and not EOI submissions on SkillSelect, correct? I have an EOI submitted on 8th June (which is after 28th May, per the above notice), and was wondering if I need to log a new EOI in July 2020. Please advise.

EOI is a separate system altogether and has no links with any state immigration. You can have your EOI lodged till its expiry, once it is expired, you can have another EOI. But having an EOI does not guarantee anything specially when the states are not inviting

I have a question. I applied for a 190 visa last year and got invited twice. I couldn’t process the invite because I lost my EOI ID number (silly me. I should have known better) and wasn’t able to retrieve it. Now since it has expired, I got an email. The email states that I may risk of not being invited anytime in the near future. I submitted two new EOIs in January 2020. Will this mean it will affect my two new EOIs? From what I Understand, it won’t affect my new EOIs but just wanted to make sure.

thanks in advance.

Sorry I’m not sure if invited but I got two emails that they messaged until the last one said they’ve removed my EOI from the system.

two invitations per EOI are permitted after that your EOI is considered as invalid. It wont affect your other EOIs unless they have marked you as ineligible in their system for not accepting the invitations

Thanks for the info. Would that Being marked ineligible reflect in my new EOIs? If so, any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
I am not sure if they have such process, but if they do, they will mark you against passport and DOB so that if you make another EOI, that becomes invalid ( I havent heard such case yet though)
